What I liked most about this movie is that it was brutal but also felt like a Halloween film. This seemed like a logical step for Michael Myers. And I think that he snuck in the backdoor and up the stairs. I believe that Karen is dead, but I was also sure that Hawkins was dead. But real talk ... James Jude Courtney may be the best Michael Myers ever. I never thought anyone would rival Nick Castle, but here we are.
I thought at first maybe it was an dream sequence Laurie was having cause how she was talking and it kept going back and forth to both of them. It's like u said we thought frank was dead. Jude was amazing in this I was on the edge of my seat....specially towards the end Cams death was brutal lol and then the mob scene. I just hate cliffhangers i yelled in the theater saying you can't do this to us lol

you forget it's Michael's house and he knows where the back door is as demonstrated in the originals opening. He went through the back and up the stairs and no one saw because the front door was shut as Karen went upstairs.
Technically, the front door was still open. Someone would've at least seen him but...he is The Shape. He can pretty much disappear and reappear as he pleases.

He stares from behind bushes, from the ground looking up at the window, and he always ends up standing in HER room. Looking out the window. If you pause it frame by frame? Karen was staring at a YOUNG Michael Myers in the window.
Loomis wasn't CGI. There was an actual actor with some prosthetics and they used the same voice actor for Loomis from Halloween 2018 tape recording scene.

We tend to feel bad for him because he's always been "sick". When I watched Friday the 13th, the 2009 remake, I also felt bad when they killed Jason, he was in a lot of pain too. But yeah, they're murderers.
So through the entire movie you can see Michael's eyes even as he's getting ready to fight the Gang however when he stands up and goes on that slaughterfest you can't see his eyes anymore I have a feeling it's going to go in the direction of what Lori was talking about that he's ascending I think they're going to try to put a supernatural spin on it
This is actually my second favorite Halloween movie behind the original. I loved it. The only complaint I have really is Tommy and the mob with the Evil dies tonight, that was corny and not in a good way. Loomis was not cgi, it was a look a like with a 12 piece prosthetic. Halloween Ends is supposed to take place 4 years after Halloween Kills. Glad you enjoyed it. The flashbacks were one of my favorite things, they were amazing. This is the most terrifying version of Myers.
lol "Don't look Kevin!!!" As a sweet dog walks in to see a horrific Micheal Myers slaughtering folks! I've seen HK 4 times, and each time I watch it, I like it more. The "Evil dies tonight" tagline/chant got really overused, but overall it was a very good follow up to 2018, and will be a great bridge into Halloween Ends. It's sad to see so many of the original Haddonfield characters get killed off, especially Tommy Doyle, but hey, Lindsey Wallace is still alive, and she got a few licks in on Micheal with the bag-o-bricks!

I saw this in theaters and it did not disappoint. It was very dark, but I enjoyed it. Also, I loved the little Kevin appearance near the end! He looks like he is a certified Good Boy™

They did a fantastic job resurrecting Dr. Loomis. Which has me thinking we'll see more 1978 flashbacks in Halloween Ends, given how well received these were. The scene with the mob is actually kinda brilliant. The audience ends up in the shoes of Officer Hawkins in 1978. You're watching Michael, about to die, but something in you wishes he could be saved. As even after all the harm he's done, Michael is seemingly also a victim of the evil which has infected him. As far as we know, he didn't ask to be this way. And like young Hawkins in 1978, we look at Michael about to die and think to ourselves that deep down in there is someone's baby boy. And when we see Michael's counterattack we realize that part of him died back in 1963 when he killed Judith.
According to David Gordon Green, we are skipping forward to present day, so Halloween Ends will take place in 2022. Camerons death is the main one that has stuck with me. Just the brutality and sadistic nature of the kill. Allyson begging for his life only for him to turn and snap his neck… Very heavy death.
He didn’t matter enough as a character tho,I felt the kill but no connection to the character at all. They also didn’t build enough up for us to care about the legacy characters which was unfortunate. Andy did a better job as Allyson,She’s lost more than Laurie at this point

Also its going to be a 4 year gap from kills to ends. Theory Time: I think Karen's death and the fight between Tommy and Michael were all a dream sequence because the editing was suspicious and completely different from the rest of the movie. Even the tone was different. When that happens normally it's showing you the film is in a dream like state. This has to happen because you have to think about the 4 year gap in ends. Plus there were cops and Allison at the front of the myers house, so they would of heard the scream and and inevitably catch michael, like in the flashback. Bracket before they cut to another scene had a gun to his head. So I think he shoots him in the head and Bury him. I also think its Laurie dreaming this outcome at the end as it would be her worse nightmare, but then she wakes in the present (4 years later )
That would make sense considering apparently in the original script Laurie figured out what happened and then told Michael she was coming for him and that’s how it ended but they must have removed that for a reason since that ending would’ve confirmed she was dead

The ultimate homage to the 78 movie is for Michael to win at the end. I've interpreted the 78 movie ending to mean he could be anywhere, everywhere or nowhere when they show all the places he's been at in the movie with his breathing getting louder. I took it as the bad guy wins, since you can't kill him, and that eventually he'd be back to finish off what he started. Carpenter wasn't going to do any sequels, so the ending becomes especially terrifying that we were supposed to get no more Myers, and it's all left to theater of the mind.
They said they ran out of night it turned day time during the fight scene so they put Michael on a turn table and had one victim come up at a time it’s funny to imagine him on that. Also I hope it was a dream sequence because I do not like she died like that how would he get in with everyone outside. It just looks so choppy wish they didn’t do that.

I really like the actor for micheal. even though we dint see his face and that he dosnt have any lines. I just love his acting. He is really creepy even wihtout the mask and he has a very scary walk.
I absolutely loved this movie, easily a 10/10 imo. It’s my favorite of the Halloween franchise now, i was hella cheering Micheal on when he was killing the Mob. Love how brutal and sadistic the kills where in this movie.
my thing is the scene of the angry mob trynna chase after who they thought was micheal.. it never clicked in their heads that MICHEAL would NEVER run from THEM. 😭😭😭 they wasted half of night for nothing
I love that this movie subverted the “Michael is always after Laurie” idea. He never showed any interest in going to that hospital. He killed whoever was unfortunate enough to be in his path or piss him off on the way to his old house. No mercy & no motivations because he’s incapable of either. He’s evil doing what evil does & that’s truly terrifying.
Fun fact, they actually didn’t use any VFX for Loomis! It was a lookalike actor in an 11 piece prosthetic, and they used the same voice actor from H18 to dub the lines. Hats off to Christopher Nelson and his whole crew! Also, the original idea was to have this trilogy take place over the same night, but after the delay and having the time to sit on it, DGG and McBride decided that Ends will now take place a few years after Kills.

Jamie Lee Curtis has finally been nominated for her first academy award for the first time for the 2023 academy awards. she's been nominated for best supporting actress for her role in the film Everything Everywhere All at Once. how exciting it would be to see Jamie Lee Curtis walk up to the oscar stage and recieve her first oscar statue. especially after she came back and reprised her role as Laurie Strode in the Halloween trilogy for Blumhouse too.

I like his mask for this one. Its progressively getting less human looking. Kinda reminds me of Friday the 13 part 7 where Jasons all decayed and you can see all the damage done to him throughout the previous films

It kills me there was a petition for the firefighters going around on twitter. I know everyone complains about the firefighters going 1 by 1 and being slow but until you know how heavy their gear is, not to mention the saw itself. It’s understandable why they were slower compared to Michael in a mechanics jumpsuit.
I mean it was his neighborhood and his house, if anyone knows a back way in it would be Michael... It was as or more brutal than Rob's versions but FELT like a Halloween movie whereas RZs didnt. There is an extra scene where Laurie calls Karen and Michael answers so Laurie knows that her daughter is dead and tells him she is coming for him.

I really like the actor for micheal. even though we dint see his face and that he dosnt have any lines. I just love his acting. He is really creepy even wihtout the mask and he has a very scary walk.
I absolutely loved this movie, easily a 10/10 imo. It’s my favorite of the Halloween franchise now, i was hella cheering Micheal on when he was killing the Mob. Love how brutal and sadistic the kills where in this movie.

I love that this movie subverted the “Michael is always after Laurie” idea. He never showed any interest in going to that hospital. He killed whoever was unfortunate enough to be in his path or piss him off on the way to his old house. No mercy & no motivations because he’s incapable of either. He’s evil doing what evil does & that’s truly terrifying.

Fun fact, they actually didn’t use any VFX for Loomis! It was a lookalike actor in an 11 piece prosthetic, and they used the same voice actor from H18 to dub the lines. Hats off to Christopher Nelson and his whole crew! Also, the original idea was to have this trilogy take place over the same night, but after the delay and having the time to sit on it, DGG and McBride decided that Ends will now take place a few years after Kills.

I feel like due to the time jump michael slaughtering the mob and Karen's death was a dream sequence by laurie a worst case scenario. I feel like after michael got knocked out in the mob scene he got Captured and escapes again in ends but this time laurie is even more ready than she was in 2018.

I like his mask for this one. Its progressively getting less human looking. Kinda reminds me of Friday the 13 part 7 where Jasons all decayed and you can see all the damage done to him throughout the previous films

It kills me there was a petition for the firefighters going around on twitter. I know everyone complains about the firefighters going 1 by 1 and being slow but until you know how heavy their gear is, not to mention the saw itself. It’s understandable why they were slower compared to Michael in a mechanics jumpsuit.

From what the director said they are jumping ahead 4 years (into 2022) so he apparently disappeared and didnt come back in 2019 because he was still healing and then, ya know, covid so he didnt really have a very active pool to choose from so...
