This was the scene that instantly made me fall in love with Tary. Even though Vox Machina at first seemed a little cruel for doing what they did, I completely understand it from their point of view and it DID get Tary to finally be honest about his intentions. Even though it's played for laughs and I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard during the entire thing, it's actually a very touching scene. Tary is adorable and must be protected at all costs. I love everyone's slow realization that he is literally us, the nerd preferring to live in a fantasy world rather than face reality, wanting to be a hero despite everyone telling him otherwise. Bravo, Sam, and bravo to all of them in this scene. This is one of the scenes I remember when I try to describe why I love this game so much. Bravo.
Tary really did get a happy ending. Vox Machina taught him courage, cunning, and true friendship.
