I was hoping that you would go over the general box that attached to the data type run down the list of what each category actually does I don't know if that's very clear but that's what I'm looking for and I have not found it on any TH-cam channel yet and I do love all of your vileo's I'm lost at this time Hopefully I will get better

To which box are you referring? I'm all about making videos that don't already exist anywhere else, so if you've found a topic, let me know. LOL

@@599CDhi Rich our wonderful instructor. I closely follow you from Nairobi Kenya. What he means, when Ur assigning data type on a field on table design, the below table where u can assist default values, validation rules and texts, indexing etc. that's the table he would wish u address. I hope I've been a good translator 😁

I was one of those beginners who used to use the Lookup Wizard. Then one day my teacher and mentor brutally mocked me in front of the whole class, said my database was a "little girly databse, with little girly Lookup Wizard fields". All my classmates laughed at me, and I vowed to learn about relational combo boxes and never to use LW again.
At the time I thought it was harsh but looking back he was absolutely right. My database was girly and pathetic, and now it is brimming with manly combo boxes and far more powerful 💪.

As regards to attachments. What about a document database?

      Store links, not documents. 599cd.com/Images

@@599CD Thanks for the reply. So in essence so the database would hold links to the files rather than embed them in the database file itself. I must admit that would keep the database file size down. But you would have to be very "tidy" within the file system (i.e. not relocate them) or would you keep them in the same directory as the DB file.
