Have you thought about making a floating duck house for the pond? I think that's what it's called. Lester had one in his pond at the sanctuary and his sister. Kim built one and had it in her pond that would give them a safe place to be on the water away from the nasty predators.
I love the day-to-day farm happenings and yes I'll politely skip the hunting videos. Thank you Crandel.

The ducks look really happy at the pond. They can eat frogs, fish, and bugs. And anything else they want. That's wonderful. 😉 😊
Edited to add: you need a pig trap like the Yawt Yawt has. He's catching them and feeding families with them. How awesome is that! 😊

@@helencostello1523 the name of the channel suggests that it is everything about the family. That would include everything they choose to show. It’s not just a farming video (a lot of farmers hunt). Hunting can very well be a family event too. More people should be bringing their kids hunting! Too many are detached from nature, the balance and what it takes to feed us.
I enjoy hunting and fishing. It’s a way of life. I grew up with the men going hunting for deer, pheasant, turkeys, etc and fishing. We ate everything they killed, filled the freezer for a rainy day!
Glad you had a good trip. I live on 48 acres in Ohio. Used to deer and squirrel with my husband. My husband passed away a few years ago, now I leave the hunting to my sons and G sons. Happy to see you teaching the boys your hunting skills. Keep up the hard work, it's always a reward in the end. God Bless ❤

Gas is $4.19 in San Diego .Costco is cheapest. This is inexpensive,but has been upper $4 most of yr.

Petrol in Australia is very expensive. We pay $2.00 a litre.. thats around $7.60 a US Gallon.

Good evening Crandall, I have watched all of your 85 shows and you're amazing and I am a 75-year-old lady and would love to watch you deer hunt and pig hunt and fish and clean the fish and clean the deer I would like all of that you're amazing at everything you do. Everything I think you don't know you do know arms family farms has a pig trap that can hold like 20 pigs in it and they have a person that comes out to get the pigs and turns them out where it's the first sporting where people pay to do sports with hunting the pigs. Also you were talking about gas try 699 in California for gas. It's a lot expensive in California I would love to have the gas prices in Oklahoma I am really proud of you and Marci how your carving a place and your home is going to be fantastic when you get it done your shipping containers are awesome you're just awesome. Gas where I am in Illinois was 3.59 when I went to town this morning that was at a Speedway , usually across town is about ten cents cheaper. I’m guessing those wild pigs are the problem . 😢 Glad you and Maverick had a great trip! Which I know that’s funny to say cause I don’t, but when I started watching homesteaders on TH-cam and a lot of them hunt it gave me a different perspective on it and it’s actually quite fascinating to everybody’s perspective on it is
Crandall - Gas (Petrol in UK) is £1.489 per Litre ($1.925 per litre - or $7:30 per US Gallon!!!) We are based in Scotland and would love to even pay Colorado prices for 'gas'. Keep up the great work you both have a great family and so hard working as a family on your farm.

When I got my first car it was 1978 approximately, a massive oil price increase happened and I was paying a whopping 50 cents a gallon. I remember the uproar with everyone across the country at the price of gas being so high. They were even rationing gas you were only allowed to purchase $5 of gas at a time. I remember needing to go to multiple gas stations buying $5 at each one until my tank was full. I needed to drive to my grandparents to help them being a single young woman I always made sure my tank was full and fluids checked before a road trip.

You asked what our fuel prices are …. Here in Scotland it’s £1.38 per litre there is 3.79 litres in a USA gallon so £5.27 a gallon and at today’s exchange rate $ 6.97 a gallon reading some of your comments your gas or petrol costs are really cheap. When I passed my driving test it cost 76pence a gallon when we used gallons 😂 it gets confusing . You need a trap like Daniel @Arms family or the other guy have they catch loads of wild hogs …. A # of years ago my husband and his brother went wild pig hunting down south - my husband used a muzzle-loader and his brother was bow hunting - they were also ground hunting - when my husband shot his boar it came after him and he barely got away before it dropped - because their hearing is so good that they follow the noise - his brother on the other hand shot his and the pig just walked on - didn't react to being shot - because it takes a while for the pig to bleed out and die his brother went out the next day - followed the trail and got his - my husband really doesn't like pork except sausage and bacon but it didn''t take long to eat the 300# pig - it's different than farm raised - good luck to you both pig and elk
That was my concern as well with taking Maverick hunting with him for pigs. Pigs can be mean and nasty. I would much rather see a good trap set up like Daniel Arms uses with the pigs.

Farrell Pigs can be a nuisance !! I have seen what they have done to Morrow Hill land when Shirtless Jake has shown it on his videos. I think it would be interesting to watch you have a hunting video.
Being a good steward of your land sometimes includes taking care of distructive animals. Wild hogs are distructive and need to be removed . God created animals as a food source and as long as you dont kill just to kill you are helping to keep the population at a correct level . I dont agree with killing just for antlers or for fun but i totally agree with hunting to provide food for your family and those that need it . God bless and lots of love from Anna in Iowa
Pigs need a water hole to stay cool. They don’t sweat. We call those paper wasps. They are always trying to nest behind my window shutters. I just had to spray them AGAIN today. Happens every 4-6 months. Grrr.

I got gas on Monday and for one gallon of Shell regular gasoline was $4.899 per gallon in Petaluma, CA.
In the Sierra Nevada foothills, North of Sacramento gas is $4.69 in the flat lands it is about $3.79. You mentioned in a past video that you use Everglades seasoning. We can't get it here. When my daughter goes to visit her in-laws in Florida I have her pick me up the largest size they have.

We raise our chickens for eggs. This year we raised a pig his name was tater. It hard at first until I got to thinking he was feed by me and no hormones just slop. He's pretty tasty

I’m sorry to hear the pigs destroyed your food plot. I’ve been watching Daniel, over at Arms Family Homestead, battling the wild pigs. It’s crazy the damage they can do. I don’t blame you one bit for trying to rid your property of them. I seen how beautiful your milo food plot looked before you went to Colorado. Crandall, Shaun over at Keeping It Dutch, set up a pretty simple pig trap with cattle panels. It’s something you might be interested in.
Have you thought about putting up cattle panel fencing around the fields to keep the pigs out? The deer can still jump over it to get in when they want to, but you won't have to keep losing your fields of grain to the pigs.

Your gas is by far cheaper than ours here in California. I pay $4.25 a gallon at Costco! Thank God I don't use alot of gas, I fill up about every 3-4 weeks.

Gasoline in NC Clayton 3.17 yesterday was 1.98
In Maryland the gas is 3.50 to 4.50 in some places
Geeeeeezzzzzzz. Our gas is almost $5.00/gal here. I do have what is called easy pay here at our Circle K gas stations and we get 10cents/gal off. So I pay around $4.15 ish for gas. Washington state is one of the highest for gas prices
