Generally speaking a biostatistician starts at 20-25% higher salary than a conventional statistician. But you need a PhD in this field to fully flourish and get the best possible job profile. Pharmaceutical companies in US give excellent starting salaries and even in academia the salaries are very good. Let me know if you want more information.
