Sarah, I have an idea that I wish you would try. Cut a page you want to color, and scan it into your computer. Then play around with the darkness of the lines to the lightest you feel comfortable with. Once toy choose this, now print it on a high quality paper. If you need a larger print size, maybe take it to a printing store.
This is literally the best thing you've ever done Sarah- please push yourself out of your comfort zone a little more often because the resulting art is soooooo cool and it inspires me to be a little bolder myself. New video series on collaging and painting color book cutouts?
Your channel makes creating feel accessible. Having a colouring page as a base to build upon, and allow adding and taking away parts makes it so you can create with anything. This piece is inspirational to enjoy and get creative. Love the concept to use colouring pages in another way.
Spiderman as Judas is the funniest thing bc the rest of the characters are disney IP, and then Spiderman is always in an IP struggle between Disney's marvel and Sony
Totally worth it! Too often you find yourself saving materials and not using them, so it's always worth it to use stuff you haven't thought about in a while.
Amazing! I found myself going back & forth between “is this sacrilege?” and “that’s SO creative!” to “why is Spiderman the only human male” and “Im amazed that Sarah could find just the right posed characters to match the painting’s poses!” So while Im not sure about disneying up of a beloved subject, Im impressed with the creativity and effort put into it!
I wouldn't call it sacrilegious, and the reason why is because you often see people create other pieces of art inspired by or in the same style/color scheme of famous paintings in art history. The Last Supper is one I've seen done many, many times. Yes, it is a piece that includes religious figures, but it is also a very important piece of art and art history even in a secular space. The point I think of this is that anyone could've been in the image and it still would be an amazing piece of art. As I said before, this piece I've seen done quite a few times, I'm sure you could easily go to Google images and find a bunch of examples similar to this. It's really late where I live so if anything I said doesn't make sense or there are a lot of grammatical or spelling errors, I apologize lol.
Babe new Disney lore just dropped! Spiderman is now Disney princess and Grogu is Jesus. The painting came out A M A Z I N G your dedication to all the work you do is just wow... I'm so happy I get to experience how creative and inspirational you are. Keep up the good work 💖
I absolutely adore this. I love when people take famous paintings and make them their own. You should definitely frame it. It will make if feel even more … Tah dah! Don’t know how to describe the feeling of framing a painting and the glow you can get from it.
Howdy and happy day! I love how the frankenart came together! Super clever idea, and you pulled it off, even through the self doubt, quite beautifully. That’s a great accomplishment. Such rich colors and shadows, I’m ever aspiring to manage the same. Nicely done, this was enjoyable to see. Thanks all and chipper cheerios!
When I was a kid my mom made a huge number chart 1-100 with a mish mash of coloring pieces. We colored it together and I learned my numbers such a fond memory.
IT IS AMAZING THE FINAL RESULT CAME ABSOLUTELY LOVELY AND A GOOD IDEA, GREAT WORK SARA IT WAS WORTH USING YOUR COLOURING BOOKS, I USE MORE OIL PAINTS THAN ACRYLICS, BUT I WANTED TO CHALLENGE MYSELF TO USE AND EXPERIMENT WITH ALL MEDIAS. BYE LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR NEXT VIDEO, MARIA
Holy WOW! My adult children were obsessed with the EVERYTHING DISNEY PRINCESSES! You are so incredibly talented Sarah! I am creative in many other ways, but drawing and coloring with depth and layers are something I’m just dabbling in now! I absolutely loved this idea and the final piece. You should mass produce the final copy and sell them!!! So, so cool!
16:04 You definitely should be framing this!! It’s gorgeous! It’s beautiful! It’s fabulous! And it’s so creative!!! I absolutely love it!!!♥️♥️♥️ You need to promise me you’re going to frame it‼️ Pretty Pease? ♥️♥️♥️
It's pinch on my heart when you were tearing colouring book........ But after that you place awesome creation infront of us......👌👌👌👌😇😇😇 Keep shining Sarah.......✨🌟🌟✨🌟🌟
Hullo Sarah, You created a lovely picture! I recreated famous paintings for my nephews birthday presents. I used Disney characters for the models and I used The Last Supper, Rembrandt’s Nightwatch and I avoided the pointillism of the Surat picnic, but used the layout! You can use a lot more characters in that painting. I hope you are happy with your conversions and I hope you continue to stretch your art muscles! You removed a few pages from coloring books, you did NOT ruin your books! I have used just about every painting medium. I love the fast drying of acrylics, yet that is a real disadvantage for blending like you can accomplish with oil’s! I have used watercolors and working on paper is so much easier than canvas! Now I have used oils on paper but it requires a definite set-up regimen, or oil paper purchases! I say use a medium that you are comfortable with or already have! I look forward to watching your next video project! See ya then!
this is some of your most interesting work!! i love it. i love the result of you stretching with your medium. this would be such a fun series of recreating paintings with characters!
I love oil paints because of the dry time and I can rework areas BUT I haven't oil painted in over 10 years. Right now I like gouache. It's a new medium for me and I find it's very versatile.
Phenomenal. I love this ❤ I'd like to try acrylic painting in my coloring books but I'm not a painter. Any suggestions on how I can approach a coloring page with acrylic paint? Thanks so much ❤
This is the coolest thing I've seen in a while in all the art channels I watch! As much as I enjoy the old 1 color challenges or cheap VS expensive or this or that challenge that everyone is doing, this was a very refreshing and unique video! Very creative and I love it!
This is a fantastic idea, especially for those of us that lack in the drawing area. But still can make a great final product as you have. I just may try this with my granddaughter, as she really loves anything related to art. Thank you for sharing💕💕
You did the exact idea I was hoping you would do! Not that Spider-Man is Judas, but it’s quite ironic and hilarious how everyone else is a princess and he’s the odd man out, considering he’s in the Judas’s position. That’s like a sweet little bit of artistic twist that fits the theme so well.
This is fantastic, I love it. I would frame it! Can I ask a question which is not connected to this video, sorry. I'm wanting to buy some prisma pencils and I wanted to ask what a good size would be? I'm not sure I want to buy a 120 pencils at this point. Thank you for your help. X
You should try acrylics with an acrylic retardant! It slows down the drying and allows you rework. Basically it makes acrlyics act like oils, but they do dry a hell of a lot quicker (and you can add a new layer). It doesn't mean they take as long to dry but you can get a good amount of time from decent acrlyics.
I love what you have done here and created a beautiful piece using your coloring books and I absolutely reckon you should definitely frame this beautiful painting

I literally couldn't of said it better myself. I need this as a massive mural on my bedroom wall! It's amazing x

This is brilliant, I can’t believe how well all the characters fit together and work in this scene, great job!
Yeah
Fantastic. Your process of utilizing your color pages into art of your own is absolutely amazing. It turned out so good.

This might be my new favorite video of yours. As soon as you said what your idea was, I knew it was going to be so cool!!
This was such a cool idea and turned out great! Looks like things aligned very nicely with this project.

A layer of gesso first seems to help the paper handle the paints! I haven’t tried much beyond that to give more advice.
Wow, love how this turned out. You're so creative! And definitely frame it!!
I suggest getting the Disney mystery colouring in book from Amazon I just got one and I love how they made the pictures
This was super cute and imaginative! I love how it turned out!
This is truly fantastic ❤❤❤ so clever and creative. You are an art genius ❤❤
This was my favourite recreation page of yours!!! I was blown away by your painting skills! It looks amazing and I really enjoyed watching it! ❤
Thank you so much!
Wowza, that is so cool! Now it motivates me to do something with the pages I haven't colored. Like a huge mismash of stuff.
The School of Athens painting by Raphael was the first thing that popped into my mind... would make an amazing detailed one!
This is the coolest thing I've seen in a while in all the art channels I watch! As much as I enjoy the old 1 color challenges or cheap VS expensive or this or that challenge that everyone is doing, this was a very refreshing and unique video! Very creative and I love it!

OMG, I love this idea so much! It's so original. I knew before you finished it that it should be framed. 🤩
this is so cool, i‘ve never seen anything like this, you are so creative!!😍
Add a medium to your acrylic that will allow for slow drying. It’s a game changer
Love that your doing this I also do this in my art journal love your out of your comfort zone. Great idea.

Did you at least use the single pages to scan them all in, so you can print them on good paper later?
