Hey, could you make a video on how to sync sequencers that take clock and reset in with the R8? I want to sync my R8 with my Arutia Minibrute 2. Thanks for the great video' on the R8.

Hey Bo and thanks for watching my video. realy glad you like it.
So, you mean connecting a synthesizer with a sequencer by a midi cable and make it start and stop by pressing the the play button on the R8?
I could do this using my Korg Minilogue.
      Give me some time.
      I'll look into it.
      have a nice weekend man!

Hi Vain, I am having trouble using the Marco timing/Micro timing shift function on my R8-MKII. It should be the same on the R8-MKI according to the manual. I would greatly appreciate a video on those functions! The instructions in the manual don't seem to make sense for the Macro shift. For the Micro shift I don't hear any difference at all in the sound.

How do you change an instrument on an already programmed pattern, for instance if i want to swap out the hi hat to a different hi-hat once the pattern has been created? I have struggled to figure this out, for instance when i assign a different sound to pad 1 then record another pass it overlays it on top, but then i am unable to revert back to the original sound to delete that pattern within pad 1

Hi David and thanks for your question.
You first have to remove or delete the step you made, then change the desired instrument by choosing another one and use that as a replacement for the deleted step. All in recording mode.
Be sure to stop rec mode first and then choose the instrument you want to use as a replacement. Once you found what you like you can start recording again and re-add the deleted step.
      Hope this was helpfull.
      Cheers!

    Great videos
Just bought mine off of Reverb.
Couldn’t you send the first pad sounds out to a unpatched individual out to mute 100%.
And on the human feel that is done on a sound and will not go out over midi right.

Exactly. I figured that out after posting this video. Thanks for sharing this John and have fun with your R8!

Its like you read my mind! I was going to ask you how achieve this. I saw this video th-cam.com/video/NMx5dgvrme0/w-d-xo.html and was curious how he did this. It looks like he has a Midi Splitter and he has each Pad Bank sending out a different midi channel. Is that possible to do on the R8?

Hey Cary and thanks for watching my video.
I think you can daisy chain several instruments and have them all slaved to the R8. Only thing is you need to make sure each instrument has a midi trough connection which you then use to transmit the midi channel to the next synth on a different channel and so on. The R8 can send information over 16 midi channels so you are able to daisy chain up to 16 different instruments.
But the idea of using a midi splitter us also a good way of achieving this. Especially with smaller synths like the Minitaur in this video as this has no midi output nor a "trough".
Hope this answer helps you in some way.
      Cheers!

@@vainsacrosanct2014 Sorry for all the questions. Were the bass notes sequenced on the R8 by clicking Midi button and then 3)Note like in your first video and then assigning the pads to notes on the Minotaur?
