I guess when Serah gave that survival knife to Lightning on her birthday, she didn't expect it to become the weapon which would one day destroy God himself, the one and only Almighty Bhunivelze!
well too bad Bhunivelze can't die, and Lightning said that maybe one day he will return, lol. FFLR really describe the true meaning of god, unlike any other game
Bhunivelze had an emotional issue. he killed his mom, mwynn, then create a new goddess of death Etro with the image of her mother accidentally. then feel ashmed by his other creation, Lindzei and Pulse, planned to kill Etro, so Etro escapes to Valhala. then succesfully kill herwith great scheme, make a new goddess of death again, it's Lightning. lol. i think that's because he isn't the true creator of universe. it's his mom. even his mom's power, Chaos, still flowing everywhere when she's dead, ruling everything beyond Bhunivelze reach

Well Etro didn't want to kill Mwyn, she was consumed by Chaos. Only reason Etro was there was because the rejection by her father bhunivelze made him commit suicide. Her blood was used to create humanity by Pulse and Lindzei.

Bhunivelze second form was so easy. The first parts when the starts throwing his scythe is so annoyingly OP.
The tension always feels so high after that last stagger...Because its all or nothing on hard mode if he gets back out of it 95% of the time!
Then save 2 EP so you can use overclock on him at the end.
Happened to me! Took me a few tries. It felt so good! I got 5 stars on all bosses now
And a tip for faster staggering on the last part is spamming cheap magic with chaos revenge equipped. Using like 2-3 ep overlocks with basic spells is great for staggering.
Emerald Weapon would faint if he ever saw lightning.
His last scream is that of Hope.
OK what I'm wondering is how many times you ran through the game to get her that strong.

The only boss in the game that i have a problem with is this one on hard, Aeronite and Ereshkigal were easy compared to this. You really have to get lucky when it comes to him spamming attacks like crazy i mean he doesn't stop, rarely ever an opening and when there is its to short to do any real damage, With the average persons build.

2 ways to beat him
1: do this and make sure u have ability cammitel on ur heavy slash
2: 9 turbo ethers u got 18 overlocks and its a dick way to win btw
I will never, ever get 5 stars in this fight. I replayed the game multiple times. Saved 3 elixirs, 5 turbo ethers, and a bunch of pheonix wings. Used every single one of them to beat this guy once, and that is it for me.

I think it's Hope who killed him because the 'Holy' was his Last Resort. Lightning is just weakening him.

Well, I bought the DLC (Cloud's, Summoner Yuna's and the one with Excalibur, it has the whole perfect healing). I don't wanna just switch these garbs off since I did pay for them. Anyway I can make em viable? Switching weapons , adding certain attacks etc? help?

You guys know that you can fully upgrade a masamune ,demon knife kimkiomonji, and a heveanly cloud.THEY ALL WILL HAVE THE SAME MAX STRENGTH U CAN UP.
A MASAMUNE MAY BE BETTER THAN A DEMON KNIFE IN NORMAL MODE BUT THEY ARE EQUAL IN MAX STRENGTH AND ATB AND AUTO ABILITY

I'm sure you've realized this by now, but in the description, you put Dragoon instead of Soldier Of Peace.
Also how did you get all those potions? Mog didnt have those when I went to him...

Has anyone done this fight with the limiter still on??? very very difficult fight. I lost so many times i didnt know about the limiter though at the time. Everything had to be so precise. I had use phoneix downs in certain precise manners, use magic and make sure she never did her back flip just keep switching between schemata only using wind and thunder because of thunders speed and aeros several hits otherwise i couldnt keep his stagger bar up. My strongest attacks when he was staggered only did like 100,000 at the most.
My def schemata could just barely survive his nova attack if i got lucky the dmg it did literally fluctuated 100-400 or so and that made the world of difference it was either life or death for me. But those mines i didnt do enough dmg to kill them so i had to use magic to back lighting up as far as she could go, then when he was about to make them explode i would have her run up with a melee leaving the minds chasing behind her letting them explode and try n switch to def immediately to block the wing strike and minimize the dmg.
I had to save my time freezing ability (forget what its called) for the last fight otherwise it was damn near impossible for me to stagger and kill him. I had to instant block that huge spirit bomb attack cause i couldnt afford to take random damage with limited healing items. It was an extremely rough fight on the edge of a knife at all moments ill never forget it.
With it off though this guy is a freaking breeze though
IKR , I KEPT BUYING 5 to 9 Phoenix down because it was impossible to block wings of destruction hypernova and Goliath Hymns
Bro ı have experienced same thing ı tried over 20 times to slay a god but after the get ultima wepon which ı didnt know there was a ultima weapon this fight changed to easy and very enjoyable.
Well this helpful i am having the hardest time with this guy. Is there anyway you could message me your equipment list and what stats you have on your abilities because man you make it look easy. It would be really appreciated.
I cant remember the equipment set up exactly but you mainly want a magic immune garb and use en-element potions on his magic form alongside a just attack kick combo with martial munk.
Warrior of piece is good for dealing heavy damage whilst allowing ATB for martial monk to recover. You want ATB rate to be about 150 or above for each garb thanks to accessories or equipment (or both).
Great thing about elemental abuse is that it causes Bhunivelze to flinch preventing him from carrying out many of his attacks when you successfully pull of just attacks.
Also your best off boosting all abilities to maximum level (*level).
Oh my, I came here to see if I can get an idea how kill bhuni+ on normal, but Jesus that's a lot of strength and whirlwind kicks.
I feel stupid for not trying to target the explosive spheres ever I was like wtf wings of destruction just kills me from full HP there had to be a catch...

please someone tell me what garb is she wearing??...it seems that the garb has strong attack.....my attack always go below 30000 and i think it is impossible to beat it...it consumes my time now...i really over played it and i dont see the health would ever be depleted for at least half of it
Plus you cant get element potions with Mog so is that literally it you have to start the game again unless you bring potions with you because iv'e done the setup exactly like yours and it just wasn't working

I don't have any of those potions. I got to his second stage and staggered him and nearly killed him.. I had nothing left to heal. I am so pee'd off.. I'm nearly there. Helps for next time tho. I ain't giving up till bunny feeler is down.

After I stagger him I don't seem to be doing bonus damage (damage in yellow numbers) with my Artemis's Arrow. I'm using deprotect, deshell, and imperil. What am I doing wrong?
You have to use those elemental "en-" potions to hit his weakness (when Bhunni use those spirit forms).
Exactly, its all about weakness exploit and implanting those weaknesses in Bhunivelze to begin with.
You have to pull all the tricks for this guy because he can cast supernova if you don't take his first form out and it will kill you if cast.
He may also overwhelm you in his second form or stall you out with doom if you cant find a fast enough staggering method.
Sorry for spam but where does one get these abilities?

It is but you have to have the opposing element potion he start the battle with,use imperil and deprotect and SPAMM Artemis and whirlwind.
BUT THIS IS NOT GURANTEED SINCE I DID NOT BEAT HIM IN PLUS MODE

What I don't like about the English version is that the dialogue erases the plot thread about Bhunivelze having the hots for Lightning under the influence of Hope's emotions. They play the "God Almighty will subjugate mankind" thing a bit too straight, when it's a bit more nuanced than that. The thing is that he's engaging Lightning in the whole "rebel savior" game as closely as he is completely in service of feelings that aren't his, that are beyond his comprehension, and doesn't want to give them back to Hope, but as someone who sees the heart as this invisible abomination he can't control, as something his mother promised would dethrone him, he's kind of freaking out, so he goes increasingly berserk as the battle drags on. Doubly so due to feeling the grief Hope feels for not wanting Lightning to sacrifice herself. This isn't merely about bringing the almighty to a righteous undoing; it's about liberating the true feelings we share for one another from the empty, solitary ideas of what we are as individuals. If I wanted a straight "kill God to stop the eschatology" in a JRPG, I'd fight Zanza in Xenoblade 1.

This boss is hard on EASY, I can't imagine ever beating him Hard. Where did you find Masamune?
450,000Gil, its only available in hard mode from Yusnaan. But you can use Kusanagi and max out sword at forge in new game+ to give it higher stats than the base stats of masamune. Although I'm not sure if you can get all the necessary materials on easy mode.
How do you get your attacks to hit so hard? I can't hit that hard even with Ultima Weapon, and the stat cap is 5000.
Are you using just attacks? (when light flashes during attacks and does x4 damage)
Blitz level 3 mostly. I don't get what the big deal with Artemis Arrows is. It drains massive amounts of ATB but just barely equals Blitz in power
Not to mention it's slow as he'll.
How can you do 400k damage with Soldier of Peace (I guess you call it Dragoon in description) with Ghostly Hood (-90% strength)? Also sucks I don't have a single En-potion and it's not possible to go back and change anything now T_T.

I think what your saying is the one with the accessories thing. But there's a problem, if you use the necklace thing your magic/strength will decrease. Just search it up.

You have to upgrade the ability with another of its own (at the same level) until you see arrows beside that ability. These arrows mean you can level the ability up to the next level, its best to wait to do this in late game as you will get higher leveled ability drops from enemies as you get closer to day 13 or 14 (if the conditions are met). I'm sure you can get level 5 kick on day 13.
Also I think they only cancelled Bhunivelze's attacks when I performed just attacks so timing is key in this fight ifyou wanna bypass his physical phase.

You get the rare ability on heavy slash randomly when leveling up the ability.
It just applies buff, kick combo interrupts if timed right.

Yes, it is.
Yeah, I was not able to get the elemental potions before the fight, and there were no places to get them in the inner sanctum (Mog did not sell them). So, i had a hard time with him on Hard mode. haha

Sadly no. Also I think that attack is "last resort", which was hopes special attack from FF13.

why put Chaos Revenge on a Dressphere with -90% attack from the Ghostly Crown?

Not also but likely u won't be paralyzed or delay during ur attcking....Its gives 75% (if u max it-_-).....Its useful for tough battles like aaeronite and ereshkigal...but it pure decrease ur MAG ATTCK....so u gonna use stagger type
im actually thinking of Preta Hood + Chaos Revenge, so the other 2 schemata i will use it for the damage opitimization while the Quiet guardian, preta hood and also Chaos Revenge is for Staggering the Bhunivelze

I don't think you can substitute Fealty with a none DLC shield if you want to maintain physical immunity.
That sucks I don't want to pay just to be able to beat Bhuni+ also I take it the en potions are a necessity to get the damage boost and knock effect

Beatdown has the best stagger power (rank A) so using it on bhunivelze's initial and final form works great for quick staggers.

You can only kill him by abusing his weakness - prepare for a specific element (and keep escaping until you get it as a first one), try to stagger him ASAP, use imperil and deprotect and keep interrupting his attacks like that. You can easily get a lot of damage off like that (if you aren't sure, use overclock - if the elemental effect is on the ring, use oc only after you interrupted wings of destruction). Then you just need to stagger second form and bam.

Jon Harned Yeah, but his +form only has 2. Still a lot harder though.
You don't batte against the first form, but after a moment he changes to the third (after Dancing Mad) and he comes back to the second after Hypernova.

He defeated him because he also use the option breakdamagelimit. to prouve it, he can't publish his score online and that why he makes so many damage.
There is no way i could get above 5000 strength with my equipment set-up.
