Jeep to Punta Sur Eco Park Mayan Ruin Lighthouse & Snorkel Cozumel Mexico Allure of the Seas April18

We paid for an Excursion through Royal Caribbean. It was a guided tour to Punta Sur Eco-Park. We got to Drive our own Jeeps there. First we got to see an ancient Mayan ruin, that was a lighthouse. Then we got to go snorkeling and have lunch for about 2 hours, and then we visited a lighthouse. You could relax for about a half hour and do some tequila tasting if you wanted to. You can also climb to the top of the lighthouse, but beware it is very narrow at the top.

nice eagle rays. always thought about snorkeling Punta Sur. not much reef looks like but still good. thanks for the video.

Went on this same excursion on a truck/bus in 2022. At the little Mayan signal house ruin we were taken on a boardwalk hike across the road and saw alligators and a flamboyance of flamingos. Snorkeling with the guide we also saw lobsters and a sea turtle. He took us way out further than we would have ventured on our own . Highly recommend these excursions!

Nice, doesn't look like you found the main reef tho, there is 10x more coral then you filmed

They only let you go out so far in the tour. I wouldn't do this again in a tour. I would just go there on my own. Rent the Jeep and pay the entry fee to the park. That way you don't have to swim with the life jacket on & stay in the group. We kind of broke away from the group. I don't know the area, so I don't know of the reef.

Yes I would recommend it. It was an interesting little tour, and we had fun snorkeling. I brought my own gear, so I didn't have to stay with the group. Went off on my own.

Are the Jeep’s automatic or manual?

Park reverse neutral drive, they're automatic.
