When I attempted my first chevron i cut two strings for each color and then folded them in half so I ended up with like a 16 stringed chevron that ended up looking nothing like a chevron 😂

I have noticed the same thing, my bracelets used to be super stretchy and they were really thick because I didn’t pull tight on the string. Now my bracelets are tight and stiff and much neater. I remember 4 months ago when I started making bracelets they looked HORRIBLEEE I had huge holes everywhere and I was very unmotivated when I saw everyone make pretty braclets, but 4 months later I mastered alphas and I'm very proud of them, moral of the story is, its okay to make mistakes and your bracelets won't be perfect!!
It would be fun to see the progress of your alphas as well! I remember my first bracelet. I had made a 4 strings pink candy stripe. It was not bad interestingly enough. I was always good at keeping up with patterns. However, my knots are much tighter now. I've been making them for somewhere around 9 years.

How long does it take you to make a braclet? Because I made a key ring the other day and it took me about 7-8 hours The key ring was actually for stay at home challenge 8 advanced

I'm trying to loosen up a bit haha because it helps with alphas but I'm struggling
Knotting tightly is all I seem to be able to do, it's easier to control the size of the knots that way
I always knot really loosely because I like that it makes the bracelet a bit bigger :)
