Good list! Check out the Zolar lights from Z cam for those high SSI scores mixed with RGB. Upcoming Zolar 80c is really interesting and well priced for a beastly 1000w panel.
What kind of muslin do you recommend for DIY diffusors? Is the weight/m2 important? I found them ranging between 30g/m2 and 120g/m2. Bleached or unbleached?
I would assume the heavier the better, although I've never even seen that there were different weights for purchase. Someone like The Rag Place just sells "unbleached muslin". Make sure you're getting some that's already flame retardant though, so you don't set fire to anything on the set!
Yeah, or we balance to the incandescent practical kit I keep on hand for lamps or the incandescents on location which usually seem to come in closer to 2700 than 3200 these days.
The only thing nanlux had that was new is the 900c, which for the price point and the build quality isn't entering my kit. I checked out godox, did they have something I should have covered?
To me, the 1200 has been out for awhile, so it's not something new at NAB. And I didn't see anything different from those other two units that hadn't been done on prior units by competitors. I'll use a 3x5 or a 2x4 panel with crmx way more often than I'll use a 2x2 without it once that intellytech panel hits my hands.
Is the 3000k limitation on the Litecloth 3.0 a software or a hardware limitation? It would be great to see them put out a firmware update if it’s software but I suspect that’s not the case. Also, how was the dimming on those units? With litecloth 2.0 I noticed big steps/jumps when below 5% and especially from 0-1%, and going to the extremes of CCT. Really want the 3FC and the 8fc for the kit, but wanna know what the drawbacks are first
I want small 60W lights with RGB, specifically to be used as spotlights so they don't need gels. I don't need these big expensive lights for a spotlight, 60W is plenty in my cases
It was great hanging out with you at NAB! Thanks for the info!
Can't wait to see you again, Juan!!
Definitely something better than bowens, nice video thank you for it
Thank you for watching the video and commenting! I can't wait to see what it's going to be after Bowens.
Sick thanks for the rundown. I was super curious about that Epos 600.
Hoping to get my hands on one... That thing is super sleek 😍 😍
Nice breakdown! Gear looks great 👏
Thank you!!! 🙏

Great to hang out, amigo!
Great to finally meet you Tim! Can't wait to head to LA sometime this year.
thanks for the recap !! I'm stocked to use the 300c in my smaller productions, i'm renting the 600c since they released it, it's awesome !
That 300c is so cool. I love that they're bringing such flexibility in lighting options to users on the inexpensive end of the spectrum!

NAB was so fun this year!
Agreed! Already looking forward to next year!
Most DP,s you work with set their lights to 2700K as standard for tungsten ?

Damn man…did you skip the Nanlite/Nablux and Godox booths?

I'll reach out and ask about the 3000k thing. I didn't check the dimming from 1-5%, but hopefully I can get a unit soon to test!

Check out the dedolight neocolor series!
Nanlux Evoke 900c?
The price is about $1000 too high for that unit, imo.
The epos looks really nice but the price is ....
Worth it!
Finally getting my hands on it this week, time to find out if it's worth it because that price is a little hefty.
