I disagree. I think it was his way of saying "Good bye". "I love you, but I can't have you. We have to move on." When Simon says "Have a good Christmas", he's acknowledging this as he starts to pull away. Like many great love stories it doesn't end happily ever after. Much as I'd love to see more Simon and Wille, I think the story is perfect the way it is. Anything more and it would turn into a dreadful soap opera.

THAT’S what will make season 2 even better; the fact that they both want each other but can’t because of their own individual choices. I want to see Simon have moments of weakness where he wants to take Wille back so badly because he longs for him too, but he has to resist because he made a promise to himself that he wouldn’t be a secret. Their love is equal.

Simon/Omar is such a beautiful boy and the cinematography catches just how explosive and romantic he is. Wilhelm/Edwin is classically yet modern handsome. They make a great cinematic couple

As an adult, I love YR so much. It is darker and more realistic. HS is not my type of show. If you like realistic and darker shows, give this a try. It is really amazing, all cast and crew did a fantastic job.
You can't become King by marriage in Sweden, you only become Prince, like in the UK. Wilhelm's father isn't king and Simon wouldn't be either, king is only the title for the reigning monarch.
