  • I recently sold this 2015 2500 GMC Sierra with an LML Duramax. The customer traded it in to buy an L5P Silverado. By no means does this truck have the highest mileage in the workld. But, I love to see these high mileage trucks that just keep going and going.

    I guess I'm part of that high mileage club. '13 DMax with 243k on the miles. Just replaced all 8 injectors with Bosch factory set injectors and cp4 pump with the upgraded Bosch cp4. No metal in the pressure regulator when I pulled out the old cp4. Really happy with the old parts. Full delete 2"up-pipes,3" down pipe with 5" straight exhaust....PPE 150 lift pump. And replaced the water pump. Hint:I use diesel klean fuel treatment and FEE fuel filter on the engine and cat filter off the PPE lift pump. Im a preventive maintenance freak!!!! I like to replace the problems before I get a tow bill. Also I use this truck for hotshot everyday. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE IS THE KEY

    Don’t understand what’s the big deal on the mileage, big Diesel engines should be able to last at least 500k….I drive an 03 VW Jetta, 4cyl turbo gasoline….272k miles, original turbo, original clutch and timing belt done once….it’s all about maintenance, you take care of them and they will take care of you.

    I just traded in my 2014 Ram 2500 work truck. I was going to get a 2019 GMC but they had a 2015 Denali with 61k. It was in mint and I mean mint condition. It looked like the previous owner just got it out of the garage to stare at it. I reluctantly signed the papers and I couldn’t be happier. Hearing what you guys say on here I’ll get miles out of this truck! Which is what I need I pull a skid steer with mulcher or mini excavator almost daily. My Ram wasn’t cutting it.

    It drives me nuts when people take issue with surface rust on a truck frame and undercarriage! It's gonna happen, and the components are so thick and heavy duty that the rest of the truck will die LONG before the frame rots! That truck is in pristine condition, and yeah, it's just broken in! It has a good 300K or more left provided the CP4 liftpump doesn't tear everything apart. Maybe the previous owner already did the upgrade?

    • @stupitmonkey
      @stupitmonkey 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I spray a vinegar mixture pre- pressure wash during salty winters (neutralizes salt and chlorides) and get under the truck every summer/spring and wire brush surface rust, then I spray rust converter then cover in Cosmoline. It's a 2015 and the frame looks like it came from the factory in the salty northeast. The Cosmoline is stronger than paint. With how good the steel is on these new trucks I bet it will outlast the motor. A little bit of maintenance goes a long way

Wish I had it now. Here in New York Chevy and GMC are starting to rust out structurally in 4 years. Would rather take a 70’s to late 90’s GMC AND CHEVY TRUCK. A LOT BETTER BUILT.
