I am so excited for you and your family. This has been my prayer for 40 years. Thank you so very much for showing us your wonderful blessing. Enjoy it and remember to thank the Lord who made this possible. 😊
Man i thought this was a black man showing off his PREVOST (RV) COACH….not a bus….I was like….OH SHIT, A BLACK MAN WITH A $2M plus coach….MR EVANS, YOU DISAPPOINTED ME… 😂
Prevost used Detroit exclusively until 2010 when Volvo purchased Prevost. Since then, they’ve had 13L Volvo engines in them. I like the old Series 60 Detroit engines. They were reliable, got great fuel mileage, and were simple to repair. I own an H3-45 myself. Prevost is the premiere motorcoach. Nobody else comes close as far as heavy duty construction.
Patrick Noble As an update, Volvo owned a small percentage of Prevost as far back as 2000. When Volvo purchased a controlling interest in Prevost somewhere around 2009 they started installing D13 Volvo engines in them. Now, Volvo has their own line of motorcoaches under their brand name but both Volvo & Prevost share many components. They aren’t identical up they do have shared components. I prefer Prevost motorcoaches but they have their issues just like a MCI and other buses do. They all have one thing in common and that is when they break you’re about to get the weenie bride off in you as far as parts prices.
I sure do like motor coaches these new prevost look hella nice.a coach with a back camera now that's something I've never seen before.id like to drive a coach someday.how long have you been driving coaches bro and what do you enjoy the most about coach bus driving.and whats your most fav bus to drive
Mado the Prevost coaches in my opinion are the best on the market. I've been driving them for just over a year now. My company only operates Prevost motorcoaches. You should go for it brother.
@@MrCevans1026 I would go for it but the schools cost a lot of money in my state.like theres one i know its well over 3 grand plus for three weeks, granted it would be worth the investment.im glad you enjoy driving man keep it up with your passion my friend. If i were to get a class b truck license could that same class b license be allowed for driving a bus or does someone need a seperate license for driving a bus
@@MrCevans1026 the same class b with air brakes and passenger endorsement thats it?so if i were to go to a school and they offered training for a class b truck and i got tested on that vehicle i could still add those endorsements and then from there id still be able to drive buses?that changes everything that sure makes it sounds a lot easier if thats the case i might contemplate going that route if i end up going to a school that doesnt offer bus lessons but still clsss b trucks.you just made it sound a lot easier i didnt realize that was an option im amazed
Great tour of your bus. I have recently retired and have applied for a few motor coach driver positions. I told my wife once I have finished my normal day job, this kid is going to drive tour buses! I am looking forward to this tremendously. The company has a fleet of Prevosts and some of those mini coaches. Take care Shon and God Bless!
I seen of these at the Hilton today. It is the Texas Tech Red Raiders footbal team bus. It is red and has the name "Provost Red Raiders" on it. I don't know anything about sports or motor coaches so I had to do my research in order to find out what was going on. I originally thought that Provost was a name of a city that they were from. Lol. They are playing the UofA Wildcats tomorrow, Saturday.
I have a bus license but for only military buses. I’m able to get my cdl at the bus school on post. I was wanting to know if I were able to get hired to drive motor coaches like yours starting out ? Or would they want more experience. 6 years active duty military
Wow Shon you really seem to know your stuff how much would it cost to own one of them to your self or rent i LOVE tour buses especially luxury tour buses
Reggie Smith thank you for your comment. So to own one it depends on how they are equipped. But this brand new was about $750k. We have some other ones that are in the 7 figure range. To rent a lot of factors come into play. Where are you going, how many people, and how long will the driver be needed.
peace my brother , i really enjoy your videos as l am a driver as well. l was listening to you explain that the mirror in the upper left corner above your head is to check your blind spot. that mirror is for when you come to any intersection and you can not see opposing traffic approaching from the right it should then be used to look down that roadway and the spot mirror is used to check your blind spots.
Hey Shon!!! Great video!! I've been a bus fan since I was a kid in Philly. I remember riding on Trailways Golden Eagles way back when. I loved them and MCI products until the Rolls Royce of the industry showed off LOL!! Be safe and stay alert!!! Great job on your working the video too!! More vids when you can!!!
Thanks for the tour of your coach! I'm in the process of trying to get hired by a coach company to be a driver. I always admired the drivers I've had in the past...never thought I'd possibly become one myself, but I am looking forward to it! Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks again! -Arie
3one6tv it's a blast driving these big things especially when ppl think you're gonna hit them and you glue this thing right around them. Just have fun with it. Never let your guard down. Respect the coach and it's size.
Greetings from Northampton uk England. I used to drive buses and coaches sadly due to medical issues I can no longer work. That is certainly an awesome coach. We don't have ones with detritus power. In the UK we mainly run volvos or scania but also have man daf which use paccar engines cummins also are common engines used here.
where is the GPS its not built in the radio like cars ? you did not talk about that in you video they show if any slow down on highway ahead so you can get off go around the mess ahead you be on time at your next stop Thanks Paul I just got a bus job part time
paul st pierre the gps in these buses are actually located behind us which is so stupid. It’s over the drivers left shoulders. We are trying to get safety to mount them in front of us on the windshield. Working progress.
Life of Shon Evans I came through your way taking a church group out on an Indian Reservation that was about 2hrs. Northwest of Oklahoma City. Nothing but fracking wells and rattlesnakes out there! Take care my friend. I’ve been a Prevost driver for about 6 years. You get the road in your blood and it’s hard to get it out.

Interesting video - thanks for posting!
Do you have the destination sign on the coach?
No. Only when you’re being escorted by law enforcement. But it’s just a sign of who you’re transporting
Nice bus!
Do you guys go to Blythe, California?
It's been almost a year since I've been behind the wheel of that beauty
Engine is actually a Volvo

James Dunaway they are always required but there were times when we did. Usually you can go right pass

Hey man 💪💪💪
When you headed East toward N.C. ?
Wayne Swicegood I never head east. Sorry
Life of Shon Evans you missing out on NYC & DC
Wayne Swicegood I'm sorry. Our other companies handle east coast. There are a few drivers that go out that way but only a couple.
