I really enjoyed this interaction. The guitars and the sounds they produce are almost as beautiful as your mutual admiration. You are such gentle and sensitive men so it’s no wonder you both put such lovely energy into the world. Keep up the good work.

Thank you, Tavi and Pepe! Loved hearing you talk about each guitar, and hearing them played so beautifully. Pepe mentioned Dake Traphagen early on. I have a Dake Traphagen made Cedar/Engelmann double top, now several years old. Also, I have a Stephen Kakos made cedar/African Blackwood. They are both wonderful, but I will say that the Traphagen guitar clearly stands out, is a noticably louder, more articulate, and warm while pushing more air like Tavi mentioned. It is in a league of it's own of my 7 guitars. Pepe Jr. knows this. One of the reasons I had Dake make me one, was that I knew he made Pepe Romero Sr at least one,. Pepe Romero Sr. is my favorite classical guitarist of any century, truly! I greatly appreciate your fabulous livestream video today. Thank you again. ~ John B.

I love this video! I just had the opportunity to come into possession of a Guitarras Romero Spruce Espana. It's an incredible instrument, leaps and bounds above all of my other instruments. I have a Torres replica, also built in the Jellinghaus workshop, and it sails above that. I can't recommend these guitars enough. True concert gems.

I have carefully created a 1-1/2” diameter sound port at the apex of the upper bout on 10 classical and steel string guitars over the past 2 years with great results, truly “opening up” the sound 🎶🤗

All nice guitars but you can clearly hear the difference of Pepe's concert guitars. Thank you for sharing.

This is the first classical guitar I have ever seen with an Adirondack spruce top. What a beautiful sound. Sometimes the tone of Adirondack can be a little strident and with a bright attack, but the older, played-in wood seems to have mellowed out a bit over the years.
