Dividends are dope. Personally, I sometimes use my dividends to buy other dividend and growth stocks for diversification instead of reinvesting in the same stock. To each their own methods though. The good thing is that you’re investing in the first place and that’s what’s important. Salute for the content!

the best market strategy is to work with a credible investing coach. Since a while ago, I've been in touch with a coach, mostly because I lack the depth of understanding and mental toughness to deal with the ongoing market conditions. You lack the information necessary to succeed in a competitive market, not because you're doing anything wrong, but rather because of your lack of experience.

Amazing talent, for sure. Some suspect they discovered machine learning (statistical learning) before anyone else.
But let's not also forget that he maliciously hid billions of dollars offshore in order to evade taxes, that would have otherwise gone towards the collective betterment of society.
"Confidential legal files from 2010 show lawyers and advisers for Simons worked to protect him and his children from “particularly severe” US tax bills that would be triggered if they tried to bring the funds onshore. Bermuda imposes no taxes on profits or income.
The Simons trust was revealed in the Paradise Papers, millions of leaked offshore files reviewed by the Guardian, the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) and others. The files give a rare glimpse inside trusts used by the super-rich to ensure confidentiality and minimal regulation."

I just ran into the theory mentioned, but haven’t unfolded it just yet. The minimum surfaces thing reminds us that least action is always just around the corner no matter where you are working within the hierarchy of natural phenomena and principles.
The soap bubble demonstration he mentioned is quite stunning for the uninitiated, this realization that there is an ordering preference or bias, already baked into our universe, and reappears at every turn.
Stuck in a model? Look for least action, it’s like taking an aspirin for a headache. I wonder now where it resides within this theory of his.

I was used to do the same thing doubling the 2 when I was 8 years old. Next step is 2048, but by this time you of course know it =). The fact is I am 28 years old now I could not addapt to traditional education in my country (Spain) so I didn't go to any university... but I am still learning and publishing modestly by my way. I am still interested in numbers (even the number 2) but things become harder when you try to rise and rise powers in some function... I am very interested in some called tetration (next step to power in operator algebras). I you telling this here becouse some days ago I had a revelation... If I follow the criteria of solve towers of numbers from "top to celling" like Eulers did to solve Fermat Prime Conjecture, instead of my own criteria of solving the towers from "celling to top", my work in "exponentory" (functional operator for serial exponent) and my work in tetration properties are wrong, I had never in my life an identical reality shock... I comment it here becouse maeby some of the audience of this video can understand me in some way. Anyway, thanks to Simons to sharing his experience.

It is totally absurd how outdated the middle-high education in my country is... The fact is everybody knows that but the young people think: "Well just 2 o 3 bad years and then I will study interesting things", but in my case I could not accept that, and just become self-taught.

I am sure that if I had the chance to explain to them directly my work and my situation, they could have helped me. I wonder if James Simons has considered that owning a superyacht could be better for society than charity? A superyacht employs a ton of staff to clean it, dock it, provision it, build it, as well as all of the jobs surrounding yachts. Plus working as crew on a superyacht is more fun. and when the owner is away the crew go wild.
