I am oneness Pentecostal. My Pastor left his fulltime job and went full-time and I watch him go hungry and used the tithes coupled with his wife's earnings to care of the poor. He built four houses for people while struggling to build his own home. I watch this same Pastor used monies received from tithes couple with earning from his dedicated wife to minister to a man who had a terminal illness and was neglected by his own family. I proudly pay my tithes and offerings.

I have been a oneness Pentecostal for over 30 years and I can say that my church leadership has handled finances in an ethical and careful way. Tithing has been taught and practiced by other church groups besides Oneness Pentecostals for centuries. I personally feel it is a beautiful and fair plan to sustain God‘s church. If some pastors have abused their position of leadership, then they will have to answer to God, and I would not want to be in their shoes.

I’m a member of Pentecostals of Hattiesburg and we are currently under construction, tearing down walls and making the sanctuary bigger. We’re growing! I find it such a blessing to be able to have a part in giving tithes and offering to see more souls won to God. When someone comes in and you see them filled with the Holy Ghost it’s the most excitement a person can feel. My pastor wouldn’t be able to do so without the giving of the saints. You’d be surprised how much it cost just to buy the new chairs. There’s so much that goes into building a church.

So good. Listening to Pastor Tom Trimble on Kingdom speak recently, he said about learning to suffer WITHOUT being offended. Sadly, this generation is offended about every iota. Whatever made this young man take as an offence, justly or unjustly, made him suffer (again, with or w/o just cause). I hope he builds an altar of repentance and casts his cares on Jesus soon. Tithing is a joy.

Just a lay minister here for the 18-30 year olds at my church.... but I am always blown away with how often I am approached and asked to be the judge, jury, and executioner, when situations arise. It's not even a large minority of Saints, it's usually just a few. I remind them that I am none of those things. I am here to help people grow in faith, and help them navigate when life and the enemy hit them full force. It is unfortunate that some have turned the word of God into a physical sword. I often quote Bro Urshan when he said, "You cannot legislate holiness." Instead, we teach and preach the principles and purposes for what we do, and encourage our saints to turn to the word in every situation. My Pastor always says, "There are 3 sides to every situation. Two of them are the peoples, but the only right side is Jesus' side." It's hard to humble ourselves and forgive, but we are always wrong when we step off the narrow path.

Personal statistics aren’t sufficient to prove scripture( I have my personal statistics) and many pastors I know personally teach tithing to enrich themselves, their speech and lifestyle is the strongest indicator.
The single fold ministry (pastors) have done a disservice to the kingdom. This group has become some of the wealthiest among us, even though it was impossible for the High Priests or Levites to increase wealth, they didn’t own any property.
I don’t feel men should take an oath of poverty to minister. However, our great Apostle Paul refused financial assistance to some degree. So where is the mandate?

For those who do know and still contend that it is for the New Testament church, I don’t understand how a church leader could be that dishonest.
Old Testament tithing was not 10% of your income going to church leaders. Most of the Old Testament commands about tithing, including the one I mentioned in my last comment are not followed in any Oneness church. @@mikeeagan1307
      Good morning gentlemen,
I remember our dialogue previously. I strive to give the most simple take on subjects that I can.
      These are some bullet points:
      - Tithe is Pre-law. The law with its nuance concerning agriculture and husbandry comprise the form of commerce of the day. We do not conform to the legalities of OT Judaic law. Tithing was in place long before that.
An example would be, we wear modest clothing because it is a principle in the OT carried into the NT. We do not observe the cotton/linen laws. Or we buy and purchase land because it is part of commerce but we do not conform to land Sabbath laws and inheritance laws. To impose Levitical law onto principles that predate them and still exist is a mistake. Tithing is not Levitical. It is superior to the Levites in that it is Mekchizedekian and Levi paid tithes in the loins of Abraham. The less is blessed of the better.
      - The priesthood of Melchizedek is an unchangeable priesthood. It has the power of an endless life.
      - Jacob gave the tenth of “of all that thou shalt give me”. That is what we do as well.
      - Abraham and Jacob both gave tithe. It records it once. That does not mean it only happened once. As Melchizedek was High Priest of that day, it was a standard practice and Abraham modeled it for us. Jacob couldn’t give the Tithe of “all that God would give him” if it was just a one time commitment.
      - Hebrews plainly states that “here men that die receive tithe”. The tithe is mentioned multiple times in the chapter. It is New Testament because the priesthood of Melchizedek is the Supreme New Testament priesthood and it never changes.
      - It is not true that people that give out of how they feel give more. The churches that closed during Covid for the most part had adopted this same doctrine and no one gave. They no longer exist. In Europe the same happened in the 1900’s. The church is almost invisible in secularized Western Europe because of this doctrine.
      - The video isn’t about tithing. It is about a man that criticizes apostolic people without dialogue. Tithing was simply the topic he chose. I reference it within the larger context.
      - The “flak” you mention was far less than the overwhelming support we received. I am aware that there are some that want to try to make the Tithe a Levitical thing and eliminate giving (you may not feel that way but it is what practically happens on the large scale).
      - If you claim to be Apostolic and teach this, you are renouncing scripture as well as the teaching of the men and women who went before you. The churches you attend or listen to were not paid for by people who give whenever they feel like it. The foreign revivals are not funded by periodic givers. It is tithe and offering that paid for them, funded their ministries, continue to do so, etc.
      - Urshan, Kilgore, Becton, Haney, Mangun, Glass, Bernard et al. in the UPCI along with a host of others in the the other organizations taught/teach this. It is how the work of God is funded.
      - There are no apostolic movements that teach against tithing reaching the world. If you can name them I’d like to know of them. From a scriptural and a practical point of view tithing is God’s plan.
      - I have started multiple churches as have others. I have never met a man or woman that started a church in the USA or overseas that did so without tithing and offering.
      - The vast majority of ministers live a life of sacrifice. They build churches with very little. Those who are faithful in Tithe and Offering are quite small in comparison to the business world where people pursue money blindly. Those who give faithfully without a revelation of Tithe are non-existent from a practical standpoint. A few here and there the might give in this fashion are a scintilla of givers. You may feel strongly about this but every where it has been put in to effect it violated the Word of God and the Work of God almost always disappears in that region shortly thereafter. We who give tithe then often purchase their buildings and put true apostolic churches in their place.
These are my thoughts and the facts as I know them. I hope it helps.

@@pastorurshan Good Morning to you and thank you for your reply. I do believe you and i will never agree, but I have to say that I do think I understand how you think you can pick and choose from the Laws given on Tithing because of your Melchizedek statement. Since nothing from God was mentioned about tithing or even giving anything to Him, I can see how Abraham and Jacob would resort to what they only knew of which was the Mesopotamia/Babylonian ways. Abraham chose to give, and some say Jacob bargained with God in order to get blessed. BUT God didn't set up His way of supporting His Temple/Levites. He didn't want this way for His people and i can say this because God tried to warn His people through Sammuel about having a King. Thet would be Taxed /Tithed to where they couldn't bear it because it curses the poor and oppresses the weak. God's plan didn't hurt them it helped them. But they chose it anyway. And money. They had money it is throughout scripture money was used by all. The word money is used 26 times in Genisis, 10 times in Exodus, Lev. 6 times. 400 shekels bought Sarah's tomb and silver was traded for Joeseph, should I go on. We see money being exchanged in the Gospels, did God change His tithing regulations then? No, He didn't. Then why did the church leaders change it knowing that God changes not (Malachi 3)
I didn't say or imply not to Give. You think people won't give enough, is that the problem? Phil. 4:10-23 and 2Cor.9:6-9 being led by the Spirit; I'm Inspired to Give not Required. Paul was sent to the Gentiles to preach the Gospel and not one time did he mention tithing just giving. But the church today we are told; "Will a man rob God... You are cursed with a Curse" Go to the Law to compel them and don't let the Spirit move

@Dallendh He totally wipes out the Levitical Priesthood way of tithing and brings in the New Melchizedek way of tithing...but he will still use key verses from the Law to prove tithing is still for the Church. He is confusing because I don't think anyone has heard it explained this way.

I don't mean to squirrel with your tithing theology (wait a minute, yes I do), but it's not just Jesus, but the whole church who are priests after the order of Melchisedec (IPet. 2:9). Patterned after the Levitical priesthood (Aaron and sons as High Priest - the remaining Levites as priests) which was patterned after things in heaven, the Melchisedecian priesthood features its High Priest, Jesus (Though Psa. 110:4 says only "priest", Hebrews repeatedly refers to Jesus as the "High" priest after the order...), and the wider "royal priesthood", is the church. The Millenium will demonstrate this overtly (Rev. 1:6, 5:10, 20:6) as "kings and priests" do not designate 2 different groups, but one group - the royal priesthood. Today when we offer the sacrifices of our body and of praise and thanksgiving to God, we do so as Melchisedecian priests, our high priest, our "hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; (20) Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec."

Grace THROUGH FAITH (Eph 2:8). Living faith is visible by works of obedience (Jam 2:18). The gospel by itself won’t save anyone. They have to OBEY it to be saved (2 Thes 1:7-9; 1 Pet 4:17).

You want to get into all the debating again? It's all good it makes one dig deeper. But you really didnt explain the Biblical questions/points as you remember that were given to you. Just as you did here, you mention that you hear all of them brining up: tithing was only pertaining to herds and crops commanded by God, etc. But you never explain how they are wrong; you spend more time telling stories than explaining God's word with His Word. Round Table spent very little time in explaining The First Fruits application and you really dont, you make it sound like its tithing, it does make one wonder. You definitely don't give a satisfactory Biblical answer on how the transition from food sources to money occurred. You had the perfect opportunity to Biblically answer. For example, Abram and Jacob gave a tenth of by Choice they were not required to as Malachi writes and you dont address that remember we are robbing God if we dont. You should give a detailed study on Biblical tithing (Hebrews is not teaching tithing in chapter 7, its proving to the Hebrews who Christ was) and not just mainly stories. Too many Prosperity Preachers do a good enough job of that.

Yes, I am. I agree with their holiness standards for the most part. The only time I disagree is when some preachers preach against facial hair, but honestly, that’s very rare, and I’ve never heard one preach against it in person. Plus, David Bernard spoke about it in a podcast, and he said that it’s not a part of holiness; it’s just something that some preachers don’t prefer.
Anyway, continue to spread the message of Oneness and being filled with the Holy Spirit! Regardless of whether you disagree with holiness standards outwardly, preach having holiness standards inwardly!
      God bless.
