Roman Szmal makes wonderful colours but I love tubes too. There is an interview here on TH-cam and mr Roman says Tubes will be avaiable soon. It was almost 2 years ago😅. Sometimes I write it on his page to remember the tubes affair 😊
@@diadumenos82 Oh yes, I remember that interview and the excitement it sparked. Let’s hope your reminders will be successful 🤞. The paint really is wonderful, coming in tubes would make it even better. Thank you for stopping by!
Hi Sonya, thanks for this. I have quite a few Roman Szmal paints and would recommend the Autumn Green, it’s green with quite a bit of yellow in it. When it granulates it’s exactly like a lizard’s skin, really pretty. Dee
@@doriswhyte1931 Thanks for the recommendation! I do need another green, so that should do nicely. They are lovely paints, no idea what I was so worried about.
Thanks! I like a bit of everything, but I'm probably more in the earthy and granulating corner. I do like bright colours too, mostly so I can mute them down :D
@@sonyaoart Here are some brighter colors: cobalt sea blue (more blue and granulates more)/Cobalt Teal (more green and granulates less), Gamoge hue (bright warm yellow) and magenta. For the deeper darker colors: chromium oxide green dark, shadow violet. And a bonus color like you said: Autumn green it's a stunning granualting color. I'm adding to your problem here! Make two palettes 😂
@ Thank you! I’d buy more anyway, so I’d rather have some good recs 😂. I’ve actually bookmarked your swatching session for future reference, as well ❤️
Okay so finally a PY128 on its own. I too own the Dusk Yellow from Rembrandt/Van Gogh, can't tell the difference between both tbh, but i LOVEEEEEEE the mixing power that color has! Sonya, for a super unique granulating brown, try a PR255 with it and watch some serious magic happen! My fav is Paul Rubens Perm Red Light [1st gen tube] and it's so beautiful!
I agree on Ultramarine Light; when there are so much more beautiful PB29 options for Roman Szmal. I always enjoy a good Roman Szmal swatching video. Thanks for making one! I enjoy your commentary!

Hi Sonya. I agree, not a fan of the ultramarine light but the Caput Mortuum mixed with an Indigo or ultramarine makes the most amazing grey.
Oooh yes, I love RS Caput Mortuum, on its own and in mixes. Thanks Yoli!
Highly recommend shadow violet and misty morning!
@@hollywatson6693 Thank you! They’re made will go on the list.

Pretty earthy palette! Edit what type of colors do you tend to use very earthy, bright or granulating?

@@derwood206 I think I’ve decided I need to add Ultramarine Deep. And the Lapis, obviously. Glad you enjoyed it ❤️
