Reminder that Joshua wasn't some kind of war vet, he probably wasn't somehow specifically trained when he joined Caesar and decided to travel with him, it means that he either was badass from the day he was baptized for the first time or that he had one of the most legendary training arcs in fiction for 30+ years in legion. I said it once i say it again: wastelanders ARE just built different.

@@feliciaf8 i assume that Mormons in fallout became more brutal for their own survival sake after nukes dropped, maybe they allowed refuges to live in their forts due to Mormons religion philosophy some of the refuges might have been ww3 veterans, police officers and other people who has training and they learned Mormons how to protect themselves, maybe there were people with battle experience among mormons themselves and then the knowledge passed through generations and mormons such as Joshua were trained since childhood, tribes respected him because of his knowledge in their culture and being good warrior, still unknown where did he become such a strategist
@@alexref6074 It's implied that that the new canaanites were trained in warfare from a young age. Learning to use the 1911 was a rite of passage into adulthood for them iirc. As for how he become such a good strategist, as a missionary, he is well educated and versed in books, not too much of a stretch to assume he might have had access to books about warfare tactics and strategy, though that it just speculation, and putting that into practice is quite different from reading about it. We know that Caesar learned strategy from old books, it's very possible that he simply learned from what he shared as well.
