    Q:What camera do you use?
A: I use the Go Pro Hero 7 Black Edition primarily. Often times you will see auxillary cameras in use. Those cameras include The Go Pro Hero 6, Hero, and DJI Mavic Pro Platinum
Q: How big Is your rotator?
A: It is a 50 ton Miller Industries Vulcan 950
Q: Does the carriage slide back like Ron Pratt's?
A: No, the carriage doesn't slide back due to strict weight laws in California. The sliding carriage will make the truck to heavy in CA
Q: Why do you only have 3 winches on the rotator?
A: Comes down to weight again as stated above
Q: How many trucks Does Plaza Towing have?
    A: Currently more than 30
Q: Why must the driveshaft be removed to tow a vehicle?
A: When vehicles are not running the transmission is not receiving circulating lubricant. If the driveshaft is left installed, the transmission, which is not receiving lubricant, is still spinning. This allows it to get very hot which eventually will cause major damage to the transmission. Therefore, removing the driveshaft completely eliminates the transmission from spinning. Simply leaving it in neutral is not sufficient since the transmission still spins in neutral.

This is the first video edited by our new editor. I gave her pretty much the freedom to do as she saw fit. What are your thoughts??
Edit: sounds like the general consensus is to remove the background music and perhaps keep that to strictly timelapses. Other than that what did you think of the style of editing?

Your new editor is good to go. If she is going to use music, some like it, some hate it. Myself I can take it or leave it. Personally I don't care too much for the type she used in this video. I like it softer and smoother. Miss Amy Flake does the editing and music for Rodeo Reed channel she also does music at rodeos when Reed is announcing. I would suggest your lady contacting Miss Amy Flake for some suggestions. They are Reed and Amy Flake Snowflake, Arizona. She can be contacted via Facebook or their business email that info is on their vlog.

Trent & Editor - This is likely the shortest post I have seen. But you did get down to business without a lot of walking around and surveying the field of battle. This is nice, we can see what you did and how you did it without an hour of watching walking back and forth with chains and fittings. I like it. Yes, No music, just the sounds of your conversations and the inevitable rattle of chains. Very nicely done. This format - maybe up to 25 minutes in length, makes it all interesting. Trent, you seemed to take a back seat in this one. I think we would all appreciate hearing more of your input into the situation. %0 years in business. I guess we can assume you will make that 75, right?

I’ve been pulling flatbed since 03. Seeing that winch bar flying out and hit your rotator is the exact reason it’s ignorant to use those old style snap binders. Ez-over/recoil-less binders may be twice the cost but infinitely safer to everyone.

    Glad to see yall back.
From my eyes cause of wreck was load shift due to excessive speed in the corner. And the load was not hogtied and braced with chocks on the cross timbers. Check the computer in the truck. The load moved so it was loaded wrong.
    Is an overly simplistic rule.
But a good rule to live by.

The most fundamental issue about the videos that made me subscribe to Plaza Towing in the first place was that I and any other looker could see what was going on. I and so many others are interested primarily in in the decisions you reach, in the mechanical things you need to do to put all that into action, and in the ways in which you achieve your objectives. Music (I'm a professional musician) has nothing to to contribute to all that. Kill it!!
The drivers, the folks who have to make decisions on the ground - it's their voices that matter. And the films of their actions, as might be appropriate. Thank you!

Lucky driver , if he had only secured his load properly he wouldn't have almost totaled his truck , damage his trailer and have extremely heavy beams scattered on the highway . Duh . Great video and great to see you working , both of y'all did a great recovery .

Hey! I’m curious why you didn’t put boards under the extendable feet of your wrecker. I’ve seen Ron Platt do that in his videos. He said he does to prevent the feet from depressing into the pavement under heavy stress by dispersing the weight over a wider area of the pavement.

  • @maxxod1

Hey, I definitely liked the video. Have to agree that the music was a little loud at times but other than that I’ll give it a 👍.
Why the hell weren’t those beams belly wrapped? Even after doing it again he still didn’t do it. It takes an extra minute or two but I guess it makes more work for the tow truck drivers.

Now I have seen something like this when I was younger as in 9 or 10 years old.
Although the trailer broke in two, right in front of the axles on the trailer.
Now we were not there for the broken trailer. We were there to recover the car that the huge I beams crashed.
Oh and yes more than one person had a really bad day, on that day...

Hard to believe that he is hauling 60' I-beams and decides to make an illegal U-turn! And to make matters worse, he does it in front of an oncoming vehicle!

    • @MaxZomboni
      @MaxZomboni 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

I know he said it was an illegal U-turn but I don't see any evidence of that. There is no No U-Turn sign there, and U-Turns are generally allowed everywhere in California except where a sign prohibits it. And that road is wide enough for a truck that size to turn around. It looks to me like the truck just made the U-Turn too fast and the load shifted and tipped.
