    I didn't realize how good the Velkhana SnS is for ice element as well. May not have the best elemental damage, but has insane raw. Better for more raw focused match-ups, and will benefit more from metsu and offensive guard.

    Post TU5, Amatsu's sword is probably the best option for Water. It has extremely high raw, natural purple sharpness, and high element. The only downside is the -25% affinity and no slots, but qurious augments and Kushala Soul (actually better than all anti-species besides Aquatic in this case) brings it up to 5%. It slightly out-damages Mizu's sword during normal use and vastly outperforms it when using Silkbinds due to the built-in 10% boost. Still has less element than Waterclaw+, but the huge gulf in raw damage makes up for it.

    A strong dragon option provided you get a bloodlust augment would absolutely be the chaotic SnS, it gets insane affinity after beating frenzy with amazing base raw and sharpness levels
    For ice I actually run the Velkhana SnS cause it has the perfect traits besides it’s poor base ice

    • @SKY85sr
      @SKY85sr  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you like bloodlust, Chaotic SnS is fine. Velkhana SnS is also a great choice for ice.

    Good stuff as always, SKY85!
    For Gate of Heaven, I tend to find that running out of sharpness is surprisingly common at Lv200~220 AR so I agree with the usage of Master Touch.
    But I use only Lv2 MT though since I find that Lv3 usually is too much of an overkill because I already have 150 White Sharpness.
    Most of the other elemental SnS here are the ones I have maxed out their augments as well, they're really solid choices here.
    Other than that, I think Noble Ana Palas might deserve a bit of honorable mention here.
    Despite having a pretty low Ice element, it's made up with insanely high raw, 4-1-0 slots, and an Lv3 Rampage.
    +45 Ice from Augment pushes its elemental damage to be quite decent after all, so I usually ended up having some of the more raw-leaning Ice matchups getting a better result with Noble Ana Palas than Daora's Maelstrom.

      @SKY85sr  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Noble Ana Palas is an excellent pick as well. As you stated, it would be better for raw-leaning ice matchups, so my thought when qurious crafting would be to put everything into attack boost for even more raw instead of element. I haven't done any calculations though, so I could be wrong.

    I came from MHFU and MHP3RD and people back then pick SNS for their elemental purposes and now in newer gens I was so confuse as to why people started building mostly raw damage SNS and not Elemental, did they nerf the elemental damage of SNS of something, cuz isn't high elemental and status effect one of the whole selling points of SNS.

    how does the dual scissors compare to the water weapons? i originally went with it despite its lower water due to its raw and sharpness levels and huge slots. transitional?

    What is the anomaly research grind? I’m trying to find all the unlocks at each rank but haven’t had any luck unless i already know what needs to be unlocked. I’m currently at 151MR and know i need to be 160 to unlock Rosen crimson glow valstrex and I’m at 121 anomaly… but what is the highest minimum i should aim for to unlock all i need for endgame builds?

      It's more or less the same. Replace Valstrax SnS with Primordial Malzeno SnS.

    can i ask which is better elemental damage or raw damage?

    • @rathalomaniac6212
      @rathalomaniac6212 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on matchup and playstyle, but elemental SnS is definitely a bit stronger overall in Sunbreak. I used the Fine Kamura Sword all the way to Risen Teostra and Anomaly 100+ before finally making some elemental swords, and I had no issues with damage output the entire time. My recommendation is to use raw until element becomes convenient during the late game, then switch over.

    Ok, I'm a little lost, but how exactly is the daora's maelstrom better than the permafrost edge in terms of raw and element? Is it cuz of the purple sharpness, or am I missing something?

    • @SKY85sr
      @SKY85sr  ปีที่แล้ว

      Purple sharpness raw and elemental modifiers are 1.39 and 1.25 respectively, whereas white sharpness raw and elemental modifiers are 1.32 and 1.15. Because of this, Daora's Maelstrom is better than Permafrost Edge, but just barely.

    Is there a reason why you don't consider the Chameleos rampage deco viable? Just doesn't proc damage enough to matter?

    • @SKY85sr
      @SKY85sr  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is correct. The only real case where you might consider it is when fighting Rakna-Kadaki since no anti-species deco covers Rakna-Kadaki and elembane only work on its claws, which has a terrible slash hitzone value.
