Just sea trialed the 264 Cayo Cat this weekend, was blowing 20 knots in the Keys; superior ride and fit and finish best I've seen in its class. Mini-Freeman is what this boat will be to that discerning buyer...very impressed and is on our short list.
What makes you keep saying things will break? Can you be specific? Some sub par component, poor craftsmanship? Sounded definitely biased. Said you would destroy it? Really? This is not some old Twin Vee............
Every single boat has maintenance. The way this is being depicted is that every time you back out of the slip something is going to break. They don’t have a 2+ year wait because their build quality is sub par. I can’t wait to fish my buddies that will be here in a couple months. My 263 Calcutta I have on order will be here next year. You get what you pay for. This isn’t some run of the mill production boat...
please review my 2020 Pathfinder 2600 TRS. Just a forewarning, It has bells and whistles but I keep it over-maintained if there is such a thing. You can do the review on my actual boat if you wish. Would love to hear what the good bad and ugly are. So far, I think I have a winner. I love the Cayo and it's my dream boat but I was able to pay loaded $115K. Every option to include a 16" SIMRAD EV0 3 and twin blades/ipilot terrova.
In my opinion probably the prettiest and nicest bay catamaran. From everything i’ve heard it rides like a mini Freeman. If I were to build a fishing cat of this size this is exactly how i’d build it. Only thing I hate is the price. 170k to start and probably be 250+ by the time it’d be loaded how i’d run it is just insane. We’re plenty happy with our Contender Bay boat, so unless the price gets driven down, i’d probably never buy it
The other boat you forgot to mention is the 263 Calcutta...The 264 Cayo is a good looking boat but I like you prefer a more simple build. Low 70's with the 300's on the Cayo is what has been mentioned on The Hull Truth vs the 82 you mentioned.

Cartering is very hard on boats.
