At the end of season 1 there’s 2 initial d extra stage episode featuring mako and Sayuki. Mako races again and she becomes a pro racer alongside Keisuke

Officially, you have to have play "Battle Gear Mode" online with the PS2, while using the "Net entry key" (which was only available in Japan). With the emulator, you can just download the fully loaded save file, which allows offline play of Battle Gear Mode, and has all the cars already unlocked.
Some Day Dreamer The Japan servers which the net entry key connects to have been shut down for a while now. Import the game and play on your PC with the emulator.

Yes, like the Takayuki kuroki's BCNR33. In this game, the front window sticker said "CLAP". If in Wangan Midnight the stickers said "FLAT". And the font text are different.

transmission type is based on user setting, not by vehicle. I recall being able to choose the transmission before starting a race. otherwise you can change your setting in Battle Gear Mode.
+Azara 007 try going to the Garage at the main menu, and pick a car you want to drive. you need to choose your transmission there, but you also need to read some Katakana to understand each of the menu items.
