Ewers, and Sark's stubborn loyalty to him, are THE reason this team's season and talent have been wasted. Dude, Ewer’s is one of the biggest reasons why they lost last night. He simply can’t make proper reads at times and can’t move this offense like Manning can. Their coach is the other reason. He is Mario Christobal 2.0. You have to question his play-calling at times. 1st and 1 yard to go to even the game and you run 4 straight plays which allow the QB the option of either running it or passing and Ewers decides he wants to try and play Great American Hero and not utilize the weapons he has at his disposal. There is zero reason for Texas to not have evened the score and possibly even win it. Sarkisian strikes again with his terrible play calling at the most crucial time in the game.

Texas is also the only team that was in the college football playoffs that could match Ohio State position by position. The only position that Ohio State really had an edge on over Texas I would say is wide receiver, but if Texas had a better quarterback their wide receivers are also very very good. That's why it was such a close game because they were evenly matched and the thing that decided it was one quarterback made more plays than the other quarterback and that's just what happened. Notre Dame can't match Ohio State position by position and the only way they can is on defense, but your defense gets tired if you're on the field too long.
