The amount of times Ewers stepped up in the pocket right into a sack was crazy. Most of the time, he still had time to throw too but would step right up into the pressure and get sacked. It was horrible.
Annoys me so much when people blamed the o line for the sacks this season. You cannot protect a QB that runs into sacks. When he actually steps up, it's not because he's avoiding pressure; it's more like he's trying to follow a script. Zero instincts. Ewers, and Sark's stubborn loyalty to him, are THE reason this team's season and talent have been wasted. Not to mention his floaty almost-game winner in the semis last year that would have been an easy completion if he didn't have such a flaccid, lazy arm.
Funny…the two QB’s that the “scouts” ranked #1 & 2 in the preseason will end up forced out as transfers. Yet, those same scouts say that Shaduer is damn near undraftable lol
The fact that people think Shedeur Sanders is worth a top pick holding the ball for 10 seconds a snap really blows my mind. I like what they did at Colorado but the QB position watered down big time

Watch the play again. #56 was worried about the blitz for the LB and his first movement was to chip the LB before the DE and the DE killed him with a rip move off the edge.
This is the blame show. I didn't hear them mention those six drops. It is too late in the season for them to still be dropping passes. Gotta be frustrating for Ewers to make a good throw and they drop the pass that would extend the drive.
Dude, Ewer’s is one of the biggest reasons why they lost last night. He simply can’t make proper reads at times and can’t move this offense like Manning can. Their coach is the other reason. He is Mario Christobal 2.0. You have to question his play-calling at times. 1st and 1 yard to go to even the game and you run 4 straight plays which allow the QB the option of either running it or passing and Ewers decides he wants to try and play Great American Hero and not utilize the weapons he has at his disposal. There is zero reason for Texas to not have evened the score and possibly even win it. Sarkisian strikes again with his terrible play calling at the most crucial time in the game.
That’s why Arch should have been inserted in the offense. He is a mobile qb that possibly could have opened up the playbook. Plus every time he has been inserted it seems as if the players always elevate and gravitate to his energy
unc don’t watch college ball unless it’s Colorado lol he’s nothing but a casual unless he’s talking NFL he brings up missed throws but not drops only thing id say about Ewers is the fact he steps into sacks with his lack of athletic ability to extend out wide he played hell of a game imo
Texas is also the only team that was in the college football playoffs that could match Ohio State position by position. The only position that Ohio State really had an edge on over Texas I would say is wide receiver, but if Texas had a better quarterback their wide receivers are also very very good. That's why it was such a close game because they were evenly matched and the thing that decided it was one quarterback made more plays than the other quarterback and that's just what happened. Notre Dame can't match Ohio State position by position and the only way they can is on defense, but your defense gets tired if you're on the field too long.
@lastshallbefirst5516 You are forgetting that our best RB CJ Baxter was out at the start of the season. If we had him, it's game over. Don't worry, he'll be back next year!!

You have to give the football to arch in that situation
“He couldn’t play dead in a horror movie”😂😂😂
Ewers and Sark are terrible !!!!
They lost to the best team in the country
Funny…the two QB’s that the “scouts” ranked #1 & 2 in the preseason will end up forced out as transfers. Yet, those same scouts say that Shaduer is damn near undraftable lol
Nah fr I remember Quinn Ewers and Carson beck was supposed to be heisman winner favorites beginning of season
They could never see Ward and Sanders they are way better than them. It’s not even close.
Carson was never number 1 lol
The fact that people think Shedeur Sanders is worth a top pick holding the ball for 10 seconds a snap really blows my mind. I like what they did at Colorado but the QB position watered down big time
@bryanrhodes4955 shedeur is not good period
Sarkisian needs a HUGE amount of blame. This might be fire-able in my opinion. Him call stupid played while he is on the goal line to tie the game literally cost them the game.
Bro be careful with fireable. I got Mack Brown post Colt McCoy, Charlie Strong, and Tom Herman. I don’t want to fire a coach who went 12-2 and 13-3 for a coach who will go 8-4
Sark has turned texas from a mediocre team to a national championship contender in a ridiculously short amount of time.
I would say Sark might need to hire an assistant for offensive play calling...he's putting that all on his shoulders.
Arch Time!!!
Chad is correct! There are so many QBs that just manage a game. How many QBs are starting from Bama and Georgia? They hype those QBs up so much.
Bama has Tua, Georgia has Matt Stafford. Jalen Hurts didn't finish his college career at Alabama before someone says anything.
@@HH-le1viHe graduated from there and you forgot Bryce. Damn only 3 NFL starting QBs with a backup that's awful.
@@PurpleHazeVanNederlands Most of these big-time college programs have their fair share of NFL starting quarterbacks, but the problem is that every single one of their quarterbacks is hyped like they are going to be pro bowlers in the NFL. That's not reality, making it appear that these scouts/analysts do not know what they are talking about.
Ohio state is built perfect everywhere. The offenses penalties held them back from being up 28-7 early. Stop it unc
You stop it. Both Defenses zeroed out. Ewers played scared
Ohio State got away with excessive holding Db's & linemen all night. I almost stopped watching
You seriously going to sit here and gaslight us? OSU not getting holding calls (when it mattered) almost all night. Kirk Herbstreit got tired of it and put it out on live TV lol they almost ripped Colin Simmons jersey on their scoring drive dude lol and it was a 3rd down play.
Nah fr both teams was out there fucking up good drives with stupid penalties.
@@GabrielMartinez-sd8pc So true that's what kept OSU driving to score they're last TD..But 1 & Goal play calling was trash..So OSU did win it with that big stop
I was telling my friend last night, ewers has the worst pocket awareness I’ve ever seen. You could have godzilla, Kong, Optimus prime and broly on the pass rush and he wouldn’t see or sense any of them coming
Ewers 🤢, he is no good. He needs to get out of the way so Arch Manning can elevate that team.
Unc you are 100 percent right, Ewers is not even close to average he’s below he lost this game
Sark didn't learn nothing from Saban! I mean nuthinnnnn! As Bernie would say! Bringing in Manning would have made the defense more calculated if he was under center!
He should have been made the switch
Manning throws 4 interceptions, 2 fumbles lost, and a concussion against this Ohio State team.
@@natecruz7114 You, “Let me just makeup some BS and toss it out as fact.”
“There used to be college program. Now there are college teams, you’re no longer learning a program, you’re learning a playbook” - Tom Brady
I agree with everything they're saying our team carried Ewers all year it's so sad watching that great defense get wasted
This is precisely what I needed. Thank you for posting this!
Didn’t step into any throw all night. Powder puff throws. Has to be the daintiest QB I’ve ever seen
That throw that Downs picked off was crazy. Ewers is just lobbing it to the middle of the field, what did he think was going to happen?
Almost every throw looked like a back foot throw, even from clean pockets. Wobbling ducks all night
Reminds me of Derek Carr and im saying this as a longtime raider fan. DC would lob shit up whenever pressure would come and got to the point where he would lob it without pressure
@@JQUE94 At least with DC there is evidence he can drive the ball in. Ewers won't put his nuts into a throw even in a clean pocket. He did the same thing when he got picked late against ASU. Just not good enough.
The only thing he was willing to step into was sacks
I think you guys underestimate how good Ohio States defense is
Offense is different with arch
This game wasn’t on Quinn. He had a good game not his fault his offensive line was getting abused and his WR’s forgot how to catch and couldn’t get separation. This is coming from an OSU fan. O-H!
Coaching error, Running Qb, Manning should've been in the game, especially on short yardage. Coach effed up, plus last game.
*When you have a Manning at quarterback on your team and he doesn't play, you most definitely shouldn't be a coach!*
Idiotic not to play Manning
It's gonna be funny when he doesn't actually end up being very good and then everyone has to retCon all the stuff they said about him...
I don't think putting Arch would've made a difference because the receivers can't catch a goddamn thing anyway.
The Buckeyes Defense ate up Texas. It was glorious!
Everyone here been saying Arch should be the starter. The team was too good to be barely getting by.
Will Howard was throwing some bullseye. He showed me he was the best QB left in the tournament
It's hard to disagree with this. Dude literally dropped to the 4-6 round after that performance. And he doesn't help his Linemen at all. He walks into sacks.
Unc right, he's not a good QB at all.. basic as hell. Put Shedeur Sanders with Texas, he would have had 80 Td and 6k pass yards
Got pay millions to play like this 😅, crazy work
where was he at vs BYU hes good but he aint gonna drop those stats in SEC
@@papai_juju3335I think he can… his o line was bad against BYU
Proud Texas fan here, agreeing 100% that users was overrated! That team carried him!
Really thought Sark would pull a saban and replace ewers at halftime for Arch
Sark must be getting paid to play Ewers by Ewers’ family or something.
Ocho bringing out a new laugh after 53 years 😂
As a Michigan man I’m not very happy with this kid…
Why you gotta let us know you’re a fan of Michigan just to say you’re not a fan of someone on a completely different? lol
@ Show when I said I wasn’t a fan of the kid. Just not ok with the outcome bro. Texas didn’t beat Texas. Ohio State won…
@@markadams9335I mean Texas did better than Oregon that game was over in the 1st quarter when Ohio state went up 14-0 salute to Texas GG to both teams
@ nah. It’s different with Michigan Wolverines and Ohio State lol. Wherever YOU are from you wouldn’t be saying that if your life long sworn rival was in the National Championship. We want all the not good unspoken things to happen to that school year after year 😁
That #56 Texas RT gave a high school JV effort on that scoup and score TD. Feet stuck in the mud. If you gotta bend over to block...you're beat. 😅
Watch the play again. #56 was worried about the blitz for the LB and his first movement was to chip the LB before the DE and the DE killed him with a rip move off the edge.
They gotta relaize leonard aint scared to take off in that pocket it might be closer than they realize
Trying to blame Ewers with a run game that averaged 2 yards per carry is idiotic. You cant win football games at 2 yards per carry.
Sorry but Ewers is a major part of the problem. A lot of those runs got Texas first downs.
Ty for keeping it real great video
Quinn will be a solid back up in the league. He is not a starter.
Solid?😂😂😂
@@cecarblanco9933😂😂😂
Dude will not be in the NFL.’
Who gonna drafthim?
His off season diet change was horrible for an elite athlete.
Fanbase hasnt liked him since week 2. He is mid and Sark should have tried Arch out in more packages.
Quinn Ewers was missing easy throws all game.
Great analysis fellas, love your show.
You a damn lie. Ohio State has better running backs, db’s, and lineman
lol Georgia beat Texas twice, not sure why you think Texas was a better matchup for Ohio State and not Georgia.
@@lastshallbefirst5516ND has better RB's
@@rootsma5746 Good job, 🍪!!
@lastshallbefirst5516 You are forgetting that our best RB CJ Baxter was out at the start of the season. If we had him, it's game over. Don't worry, he'll be back next year!!
Just give OSU Defense credit they was in his face every play
This is one of the worst takes I have ever heard. They're playing the blame game and not giving Ohio State credit. This game was won and lost in the trenches.
Not sure what y’all heard, but they have OSU props. However, Ewers played like trash.
quinn ewers = dak prescott
Dak Prescott is way better than Ewers. Ewers will never be a starting NFL
QB.
These playoffs have just shown us how well Sheduer and Cam played this season. They made the people around them better.
That happened in neither case. That’s why they were both home watching the playoffs.
@@darrellwilliams9722 Man please, Joe Burrow put up MVP numbers and missed the playoffs.
Well they didn’t do enough to will their teams to the playoffs. And it’s not either of them played any competition this season either.
@@darrellwilliams9722Miami defense was horrible that’s why Cam not in the playoffs and Colorado front not like the big schools but Sanders and Cam would’ve showed out with that Texas team
With all due respect, Ewers is a bum. I wouldn't draft him in the first 4 rounds. Respectfully, of course. Ehlinger was a better QB. Ewers stinks. Respectfully.
No need to be respectful. Ewers is the worst texas qb i can remeber
@@tonyburrito5871😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Then you aint watched much texas
MCase McCoy, bro. David Ash. Garrett Gilbert. Jarrod Heard. Tyrone Swoops. Need I say more? Ewers is the best QB we've had since Colt. Point blank period.
The better team won... what about that
Not better, two laps of judgement plays gave OU two scores.
@@johnelaigwu8693The same can be said about OSU letting the running back score twice on the same route.🤷🏾♂️Without them Texas is blanked 0. OSU was the clearly the better team.
@southfieldtrill9690 not even close, that td before halftime Texas went to sleep thinking OU wouldn't try anything major with just a few seconds left on their side of the field. And then the sack td, so pretty much even game.
@@johnelaigwu8693 so let's be logical.
Texas - 2 lucky touchdowns
Ohio State - 2 lucky touchdowns.

Osu - 2. Tex - 0.

@jahsunstarr8582 what lucky td? Did they get a pick 6 or fumble return for td?
The ball went the other way" Ocho 😂😂😂
Texas have celebrations before success every time. They forgot they lost to ASU if the refs called targeting. Bring Arch in cuz the disrespect is crazy
Correction Texas lost to skattebo
I see Beast Mode Marshawn lynch laughing in my head. 😂
Thinking ND +9.5 is looking pretty good. Texas had their chances against OSU and they lost to UGA twice
I like to see Unk get a chance at a head coaching position 💯🤷🏿♂️
Give Manning a couple shots from the 1 yard line!
All scouts have said it year after year if you can't throw a accurate on the money out route you can't play in the NFL because if it's just slightly off or the timing ain't right it's a pick 6 in the NFL.
The stage was too big for Ewers!!
15:10 unc Contradicting his onside kick argument lol
😂😂 these qbs are straight awful this year tbh
No QB Stands out this year for College Football like CJ Stroud Bryce Young Even Tua in College no Team has a stand out Play maker Quarterback
Thank you Unc and Ocho for showing love to O State
Texas isnt overrated. They actually played better than most expected. Stop trying to down play Ohio States great win.
Sark lost the game WATCH THE FILM Quinn changed that program around
Horrible play calling on the goal line
Excellent recap of the game and talking football! As a Coach I loved this
In Ewers defense that was awful play calling off those back to back PI’s. Like literally awful
I yelled at the TV after every sack put in Manning !!!Ewers honestly can't get away from the rush and poor decisions under pressure high on throws no touch too many times
Ewers isn’t great but he’s better than most of them these other QB’s that was in the playoffs . Lmao
i really believe that we (Texas) were a quarterback away from beating Ohio state and winning it all. But props to Howard for being consistent throughout the playoffs.
