This car is now 10 years old and still a super exotic. Cars like this will always hold their value for style, sound, excitement, fun and exclusive. Corvette, Mustangs, M3/4/5, AMGs all lose their desirability once something new comes. Lamborghini is cool for decades.
I'd take this over a 458 purely because this is still a supercar, a 458 has just become a fashion accessory for supermodels and celebrities. This is still a proper driver's car.
I love this car, it is an absolute dream car. I'm from the gallardo a piston from the engine order for 280 €. I have 10 posters of lambo hang in the room, so I'm probably one of the greatest admirer of this car!
@urock12201 Yea I get what you are saying. This is my favorite Lamborghini because its a bit more ridiculous. I dont know if i would buy it over the standard Gallardo though. Do you know the price difference between the standard and this one? Thanks
Does the convertible version of this car have the same roof problem as the murcielago version? The fact that you have to set up the roof your self? Does the gallardo have that problem too?
@sassy2161 The splitter acts as a front-mounted spoiler to increase downforce on the front wheels. A diffuser is a "tray" found underneath the car (at 3:40 you can see a gray piece of metal stretching horizontally across the bottom of the car's rear end). It essentially acts as a vacuum which sucks and sticks the car to the ground. Like a spoiler, it adds downforce, but it uses different principles of physics.
@racingmylife15 Well, that is unless Lamborghini does decide that removing the awd system is essential. This change would drop 350lbs off the going kerb weight and would then add more cornering ability, relinquishing most if not all understeering issues found. I like Ferrari's too but this Lamborghini is a great piece of craftsmanship.
I think the gallardo uses the standard system audi uses where 40/60 is used. But I believe the torque split is around 15/85 front to rear on the R8. Audi still wanted it to be more rear-driven with oversteer coming actually quite easily.
@MultiTopgearfan Slight correction mate, LP550-2, not LP550-4. The Balboni is 2-wheel drive (RWD). It is indeed better looking, however this is 20hp more powerful.
@jetliigor Yes, they make a convertible gallardo but not a convertible gallardo superlegerra. Just go to lamborghinis website. This is a video of the superleggera and there is not a convertible of this version, the superleggera.
KTO Phantom sure an awd system will grant more grip but an experienced driver regardless if the car is rwd or awd should be able to control the car so the tires wont get destroyed, unless you purposley try to destroy tthe tires (drifting or powersliding whatever the right word is)
@lucarioguy111 I have been saying they need one of those for a while. All the light weight parts of the Superleggera(and good looks) and the lightweight(and fun driving) RWD from the Balboni. It would be another 1-200lbs less than this car.
@Thebaziboy Not even in the same league, the Italia is at least another $100K more. I can say, the Lamborghini SuperLeggera is the funnest damn thing on four wheels I've ever driven. It was the main reason I have been hitting school like a mad man these past years so I can get into a career in which I can afford one with ease. I hope all the darn hard work pays off! I think after all I will/have gone through, I will shed a man tear of happiness the day I get my own set of keys to my SuperLeggera
@katanamast279 A base 2011 Gallardo without any options is $202,000, while a Superleggera is $237,600. So basically $35,600 saves you 353lbs. That's a pretty substantial weight loss, but if you're mainly just driving the car on the street, which 99% of owners will be, than that weight savings isn't going to mean, nor feel like much. Hope this helps.
@BassJackass In order to mod a Honda so it can beat this car in a race you'll probably pay more than actually buy this car..but even if you do mod it to be faster it would still be just a Honda.. this is a Lamborghini we are talking about..
these things are beautiful and are very fast. jeremy clarkson claims that they are just as good as a normal gallardo except with the higher price longer name and less kit. thats stupid you gotta consider the other things like the sharpend up suspension and engine responsiveness to name a few.
Best Lambo ever with looks and sounds to die for. 2WD is too lairy for your typical driver. Eat your heart out Ferrari and McLaren as this old girl shows you how to be a true supercar
the allwheel drive is great but it still needs more tq ...maybe match the tq to 550 footpounds and that thing will accellerate like a monster like the TwinTurbo lambos more tq going to each wheel would do more in the performance ...Lambos got it right ,,they just got to get the tq up on the car and for stock they will have a very fast Lambo
It's been 7 years since but damn the look of this car is still on point. Aggressive and gorgeous

very nice
u hab no veruifivation mark ?/
This car with this color is my favorite car of all the cars in the world! Thank you so much for this video!!
that was one of the best test drive/commentary I have ever veiwed well done men.
After 12 years ......man it was worth the wait
absolutely gorgeous!!
This is my favorite Lamborghini for sure
your conclusion is phenomenal
This guy is awesome. Nice review!

Now thats good looking!!!!
there is my DREAM CAR!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful indeed
very good driving at the beginning

@lilmike19881 what builder job are you doing were you can afford one of these at 22?
What a beauty
This is my favourite Lamborghini on the market right now.
3:39 sounds amazing when it revs while it drifts
That Superleggera stickers, super cool
how much it cost?
new and used one i wanna knew the rates of both
3:38 LOVE that rev limiter sound!!!!
@racingmylife15 you got some laptimes? our do you just say "hea the ferrary is faster" without prooving it?
Wow… gallardo sv… I can't wait to see that.
I love the lime green and how they review cars in HD
@TheJdog557 sure
@racingmylife15 Well, that is unless Lamborghini does decide that removing the awd system is essential. whats a diffuser is it the splitter?
@dejavu77pv not fully sure about the price but it's definitely Group 20. This is for uk insurance by the way
awesome car
Whats the tune at the begiggning? also i cant spell its almost 4 in the morning!.
@Mrakssey my god do you have on your mind how much is 70 kg less?
As Balboni owner I agree with the closing statement 😊
@XxDJVirtualxX Whoa! Good choice of words there!
awsome car also fast
the 4wd is split 40/60 to the rear just like the Audi R8 meaning it will slide just not as much as a rear wheel drive
Eyegasm!!!!
Still an awesome super car today :)
I think the gallardo uses the standard system audi uses where 40/60 is used. But I believe the torque split is around 15/85 front to rear on the R8. Audi still wanted it to be more rear-driven with oversteer coming actually quite easily.
@yunan4 no its mid engine. There is not really any mid engine 4 seat cars. There is no room in the back.
0.10 that drift was so friken awesome
@MultiTopgearfan

It is indeed better looking, however this is 20hp more powerful.
@EpicFluffmiester that depends there are some roads on europe with no speed limits, its like need for speed for the rich people
I've always loved the flatness of the Lamborghini.
nice car!
Best in its class.
Not bad...Is it worth the premium though?
1:01
w8 does it have back seats????
Best gallardo of the best
Have to drive one..!
does it have a boot?
@gilbata somewhere around Sevilla i guess.
@racingmylife15 when the lightweight 458 will be available there already will be gallardo succesor.
does lambos have turbos?
@jetliigor Yes, they make a convertible gallardo but not a convertible gallardo superlegerra. Just go to lamborghinis website. This is a video of the superleggera and there is not a convertible of this version, the superleggera.
Loved this car ever since my friend bought 1 2days ago which makes it even worse hes only 22....grrr hate u mckenzie :L
it`s aan fantasticv car
@xiilazyalex all depends on you insurance and for what i payed for lp-640 i paid 4k for just me and the car on it and that was low insurance
@speedingforfun the 4 aFTER 570 MEANS AWD srry caps
finally i found someone that share the same idea of the look of the 458...
Lambo could save another 100 kilos or so by ditching the 4 wheel drive system. That would make this car truly desirable.
R u serious ditching the 4wd will just ruin the style Lambo follow.
they made the balboni gallardo. its rear wheel drive only
And this car is super expensive a rwd system will ruin the tires and make the car go out of control so that's why it has awd.
KTO Phantom sure an awd system will grant more grip but an experienced driver regardless if the car is rwd or awd should be able to control the car so the tires wont get destroyed, unless you purposley try to destroy tthe tires (drifting or powersliding whatever the right word is)
Boss Phanto RWD is defintely more fun than AWD to drive.
Gallardo SV
- yes please!!!
best car ever
It looks sooo SICK at 3:48

nice car!!!! very nice
he's wearing Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch.. Nice!!
@Irvine5312x6ma still would be an lp 570... theres already a balboni 2wd of the normal gallardo...
@WRX125rider haha it sure is every man's dream ain't it? and I love the green colour the car comes in.
@luisbarvalopez some? 12000 kms of autobahns is a lot:)
How many were produced?
600
Can this beat the Porsche CGT?
@hangen1
jeremy clarkson is 1/8th as informative
my dream lambo i dont know why everyone is so pumped about the reventon
is this the guy from chicago cars direct????

@Nonlethal106 its almost 300 grand when all is done and its not an everyday car
The first generation Superleggera was in fact prettier and better sounding... it has a legendary 5.0l V10 engine...
@bhere2pk true that I know a friend who graduated as a engineer and still cant find a job for 2 years now.
@BassJackass
In order to mod a Honda so it can beat this car in a race you'll probably pay more

what backgrund music?
the music ?
I want this so bad!!

what is the "bel-bonie" he talking about at 4:10?
@lilxmiget Wow. So what does your friend do to afford this!? I need some money making ideas..
at 3:10 shouldn't it have too much grip at the front for it to drift... im not a car nerd so could sum1 help me out ? xD
0:39 i like how it says the speed limit is 20km/h
Best Lambo ever with looks and sounds to die for.
2WD is too lairy for your typical driver.
Eat your heart out Ferrari and McLaren as this old girl shows you how to be a true supercar
fair enough
i like
nice
seems more balanced and with better agility
the allwheel drive is great but it still needs more tq ...maybe match the tq to 550 footpounds and that thing will accellerate like a monster like the TwinTurbo lambos more tq going to each wheel would do more in the performance ...Lambos got it right ,,they just got to get the tq up on the car and for stock they will have a very fast Lambo
