The first sim 2 family I ever played was the Broke’s (they are so relatable 🙄 lol), but the older I got the more irresponsible I realized Brandi is to quit a job when she has two kids and is a pregnant widow who also lectures her son, when he’s the only one working to pay the bills. He would have more time to study if he was the only one working, and her wishes never seemed to involve him or want to interact with him much. They never had much of a relationship. Still, I love these Sims and I only started playing the Pleasant’s so that Angela and Dustin would be the same age. I did not realize that all of the families had their own drama. It’s was so fun discovering everyone’s quirks. I always want Dustin to have the best life because he’s generally a good kid and he was always a good brother and was the only provider for a while until Brandi started working again. I also love what you did with their place. It’s a fantastic remodel. I love the mod that you have can fail making the comfort soup and that they are not cured instantly after one spoonful, but I think the mod needs to be tweaked. Brandi had to high of a cooking skill to have failed and if she fails to make it one her first try, what odds does any other sim? Great episode as always. ☺️

He's just doing his best, trying to keep the house afloat, bringing in whatever amount of simoleons he can while Brandi does nothing but criticize him. I enjoy seeing him succeed in whatever it is he wants to do, and prove to Brandi he's so much more than how she views him, especially when we first see the family! As for Brandi, I always felt as though she quit her job not only to care for Beau, but because she was unable to handle the loss of Skip. I also feel like she constantly takes her anger of it out on poor Dustin, even though he's the only one who's even attempting to support the household, not to mention he's just a teenager, and has also just lost his father. I almost play her as a "time can heal" scenario, where she finally realizes she needs to move on, acknowledges the damage that she's caused Dustin and attempts to remedy it. I like putting those cooking skills to use, and have her finally take over as the simoleon maker of the household. My views change depending on what happens and how I play them, though. Definitely a flawed family, but they're so fun to play! I also agree about the comfort soup mod. I think simler90 made it so that multiple bowls would be needed to cure a Sim, but I feel as though the time it takes to cure a Sim should also be based around their cooking skill. For the moment, I took the mod out because, well... I really don't want all of my Sims to get a visit from Grim this round! 😅 It wasn't good in Pleasantview this season, lol. I'll probably put it back in, because I also don't like the "one spoonful cures all" effect, but I think I'll look into tweaking it a little bit. Thank you for watching and commenting! :)

Please release a behind-the-scenes video. I just want to see how you actually play the game and how you turn the gameplay events into a story. Do you press F10 on your keyboard to remove the Universal Control Panel? How do you follow each Sim so closely?
Constant use of the tab key! So I’ll usually pause if I know something is coming and head over to it, such as the sunrise or the school bus appearing, or I’ll try to follow the character I feel is going to provide the most entertainment. I also try to set things up to happen in a certain order to catch things happening, like sending a sim off to bed before another. Even so, I can definitely miss things. It can get repetitive, and it takes awhile - even longer if there’s a crash on either the game or the recording software’s end. For instance, Nina’s 40+ minute episode was cut down from a few good hours of footage. I’ll definitely keep that idea in mind; it sounds interesting! Also, my own personal play style is quite a bit different than what you see here. :)

What was it that caused Dustin's aspiration to change? Great part as always :) Maybe "Brandi's Comfort soup" would be a good business practice for her with all this flu going around.
