What can I say? Get a good kart that can turn, remember how to drive it right, and good lap times will come! After struggling with underpowered or understeering karts for a few weeks, I finally got to race in one that was amazing to drive! All laps were in the 1:11 range.
At the end of the video I added a screenshot of my lap times for you to see. Like I've told certain other fellow racers - if I can do it, anyone can!

@@CaptainAwesomeness and one more question, do you go flat out on the last corners?

@@mustafakamran great question. It depends actually. So if I have a really nice kart like the one I did in this video, then I will use throttle modulation and sometimes I will brake too. What matters is how fast I'm coming into the turns and how I'm maintaining the ideal racing line. For each person that can be different due to skill set and weight. As one gets used to the kart, they can enter turns at higher speeds and continue into them without going off the racing line.
Having said that, right now I'm not using any brakes going into any of the turns. Due to my relatively heavier weight, it is enough to slow the car down to where I can make the nose of the kart go where I want to. Over time as I continue losing weight like I've been working on, I'm sure I will have to start using the brakes.
