Honestly that depends on the kart and your weight. I used to just lift, turn in and get back in the throttle with these old and beaten up Sodi RX-8s they have. Having said that as you can see in this video I actually used to use the brakes when the karts were brand new.
@@ShahmeerNoor yeah not much you can do in that situation unfortunately. I have not been there in over a year now. I don't live in Lahore so that's part of the reason why LOL!
I went today, first kart was good, came in first, second time i got a different kart, instantly I could tell the acceleration was slow and it could not pick up speed like the other karts, i wish they'd take care of their karts and maintain them well so all had equal performance.
@@timduncan9696 the best I was able to pull last night was 01.13.332. Wait for me to upload my latest video to go over my experience at the track after a two-year gap. 🙂 And are you returning back to Pakistan anytime soon?
Sir im new to this, want to know how often do u break on the track? I see u go from outer side of the track and then turn from near the apex but do u break a little for sharp turns)
On the RX8 I don't use the brakes at all. It's dependent on weight you see. If you're lightweight as in 60kg or below you may need to use the brakes, and if you're heavier you almost never need to. Only time I do use the brakes is if there is an emergency or if I'm trying out an idea on how to attack a certain apex a bit differently. Please review the video below. Might help you. th-cam.com/video/VyCXLbhqHXk/w-d-xo.html
at the last apex when you come out of it turning left how do you control the kart and not hit the tires without releasing the throttle. And ill be there tomorrow if you want to have a session
Oh the chicane! If you watch my instructional video, I talk about how to navigate through that. Otherwise when you come tomorrow, I'll explain it to you in person at the track.
@@CaptainAwesomeness im gonna be going on this track in a few months, do u have any tips for me? i weigh about 35 kg and am 13 years old, im pretty good at sim racing and have karting experience just i havent ever been on a outdoor track and am looking for tips on a professional level in high detail. couldnt find any on yt all of them were beginner tips so i thought u were the best person to ask. Thanks
@@hamdann. First and foremost make friends with the top drivers on any location you visit. Try out things on your own first and approach them with areas you think you're having difficulty with. That alone will help you the most in the beginning. As you gain more confidence, you'll know more about yourself and the kart you're on to improve on your own!
@@CaptainAwesomeness that is something which is on my mind but are there any track specific tips that i can apply to get faster? or have u forgotten how to be fast on the 2f2f circuit 🤣
@@hamdann. Well to be honest with you I can't really tell you what will work for you. I would have to actually see you driving to figure out where you can improve. The other issue is that the karts at 2F2F are now complete crap, so you wouldn't be able to really drive the ideal racing line no less know exactly how a good working go-kart would feel. So it is rather pointless to offer tips at this time. In the meantime, all I can offer you is a link to one of my videos below detailing how to navigate through the track: th-cam.com/video/Sn01_yWFaT0/w-d-xo.html
Awesome driving man.Mind blowing.
Glad you liked it!

Thank you!
Did you record with a GoPro attached to your helmet?
I had a GoPro attached to the top of my helmet.
hey can u tell me if i need to brake or lift off on turn 4/ the hairpin

@@CaptainAwesomeness i weigh under 50 kg, but still i missed the apex every time due to me breaking and the worn out tires

I have heard that here the karts have different levels of performance. Which number kart do you usually race. Thanks
That information will do you no good because that variance changes between go karts a lot.

Well done sir! Let me know when you wanna race... Cars of course..

Yes but not on purpose. My aim is to race clean, always.
On second thought, I'm guessing you were talking about the tire walls. If so, yes I have crashed into them. Just happens sometimes.
