Another one! I'm always the biggest kind of happy when these trailer themed songs find me and when they give me all kinds of inspiration and passion to throw Casimir into his own video. Easily one of my favorite characters ever created and 200+ points to anyone and everyone that can guess his backstory based on this video!
Not sure if this will be his last, since it feels like a VERY nice way of wrapping up his story throughout the three different videos, but we'll find out together.

We as a warrior of light have lost people close to us people we held dear, we have almost died numerous times, but we keep going to protect those we can still save.

This amazing world became both my Home and my Inspiration. The Love and Loss and Laughter this amazing and heartfelt Journey brought me is something I shall cherish to the End of my Days.
I think my favorite thing about this game, especially in later expansions. Is that even though you play this epic uber badass warrior of light. The pain and challanges they expect your character to feel are still something you can relate to. Loosing the ones you love, having to struggle in the face of insurmountable odds, and still continuing to fight on not necessarily because you want to. But because you know you have to. It's all something we as players can relate to, especially now a daya.
I'm in pain and sobbing once again... This perfectly summarize all the hope, pain, sacrifice and happiness we felt throughout the game. Thank you ❤

I know he may be an Ascian. but he seems to embrace his life in Eorzea. maybe he does so because it gives him joy knowing that he has family in the Scions and those around him who care.

my favourite part is at the end when you show the job actions. it just feels so triumphant after everything, that that you're smiling, it really hits the happy feels

What a way to summarize my feelings, OUR feelings about our journey as the Warrior of Light. What a journey it is.
I watch this a couple times a week along with your chasing cars WoL tributes. These are some of the best edited, scored, and planned out Tribute videos for FFXIV. Instantly brings back the memories of the journey of the last decade which Ive so fortunately joined in on last year. Absolutely splendid. May you ever walk in the light of the crystal :)

i just finished endwalkers today.... been watching all these edits that ive been avoiding for spoilers and WEW amazing! ff14 community is so talented.
i hope more people can experience this story, its near perfect with the highest high's of our victory and our lowest low when beat down.

What I love about this game is no matter what even when we are Knocked down badly hurt, we chose to stand up and fight and chose to hold the up the world and Inspire other to stand up and fight for what they believe in.

I wanna know more about this character now. All I could gather is that he's probably an ex-Ascian, or at the very least a Sundered soul who retained his memories in some way. I wanna know how that fits into the rest of the narrative with Azem being seen as a defector by the rest of the convocation, and their memories not being preserved. Genuinely interested to know how you mesh that with the rest of the story, 'cause it's definitely an interesting take on the WoL as a character.

Haha, thank you so much for trying to piece it all together! Casimir has a little bit of his own "groove" going on and truth be told, he's not my canon WoL (in regards to technicalities) but he is most definitely ex-Ascian! In his lore, the WoL is actually his present-day husband 😊 But he struggled quite a bit with this particular development and with adapting to the new life of being at his side and being one of the "good guys." He's got a lot COOKING in his lore but hopefully that makes a bit of sense, haha!!

I need to bite the bullet and get back into FFXIV. I got all the way up to the end of Shadowbringers and then COVID happened, I got busy with college, and then the great WOW migration and overloaded servers back when Endwalker released meant I couldn't even log on for several months, so I ended up cancelling my subscription in 2022. It's been almost 2 full years since I played and I keep telling myself I'll get back to it one day.
We'd definitely love to have you back whenever you're ready!! Life definitely always comes first :DDD But I highly, HIGHLY recommend Endwalker when you have the chance to return!

At last, a guess, haha!! Casimir is an Ascian, right alongside Emet-Selch, Venat, and the others. Most of the voicelines are picked to try and reflect this, and his journey is about his inability to cope with his newfound immortality, before learning to love and live through the connections he makes within Eorzea.
Canonically, he has both a husband and daughter that drag him from the deepest pits of despair and set him on a new path, with a new life; distancing him from his own fair share of "bad guy deeds."

Your lore on him is very cool and he himself looks like a pretty rad dude, I also have a veena bit she's eorzea born in a aristocratic family.
