Thank you so much for putting up Lorna's recital. For such an amazing musician, there is so little to see of her on the internet. This is a wonderful record of her playing.
Listening to Lorna play is purely bliss. I've experienced her solo and with the Pittsburgh Symphony. Every single one of her performances are inspiring and educational for me, as a student.
@sheenagord You're welcome! That's precisely why I put up these videos -more people should know about Lorna and her wonderful music! Thanks for your comment.
I saw her at an open rehearsal at the Music in the Vineyards in Napa CA. today. Her sound is amazing. I'm going to a concert tomorrow to hear her play one of the Taffanel Fantasy's.
The sheet music is transcribed by Toke Lund Christiansen and James Galway - I think you can buy it in flute shops. Lorna has a new recording - "The Hour of Dreaming" with the Mendelssohn on it. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00NHREL3K

what a huge, rich sound. nice addition to the pittsburgh symphony
That was stunning. Sound, technique, tonguing, but above all, she made incredible music. How is it that I don’ know about her. What a talent.
@vancharmer We were very fortunate to be able to study with her! Every lesson was so inspiring! And a lot of fun, like her playing!
Wonderful !!!!
She plays on an Altus AL flute. It is indeed wonderful, but that's because she is wonderful!
I remember being thrilled by her playing when Wibb introduced her at a British Flute Convention some years ago.
Bravo!

If I'm ever to be in the audience, and to yell out, "Locomotive Breath" as a request? Simply call security and have me removed; ABRUPTLY! LOL :-p
