- In this video which is one of a six-part virtual workshop recording, Lead Developer Advocate, Greg Scullard, introduces different types of distributed ledger technology and consensus algorithms.
Take an introductory look at distributed ledger technology, like Ethereum blockchain and Hedera Hashgraph. In this beginning part of the workshop, Greg explains a high-level view of: the transition from centralized servers, to distributed, decentralized networks, the difference of public vs private networks, and various consensus algorithms like proof-of-work and proof-of-stake.
Comment below if you have questions on distributed ledger technology (DLT).

Simple no nonsense explanation! Thank you!
Really enjoyed the talk bud, thanks
Loved this video!! Best I could find on youtube. Keep up the good work.
Is it possible to get a PDF of these slides since the video is already in the public domain??
To watch 18 minutes of this... the audio MUST be better.
Hello.
In the case of public DLT, why should I collaborate to reach consensus? The PoW and PoS reward you with money, here where is the reward? If there are no rewards, you will get a network too small and this could be a problem because it requires less number of "byzantine" to attack the network.
Can anyone recommend me a book or something I’m a newbie I don’t understand most of these words 😂
