Stunning! It looks so warm and inviting. Clearly, an expensive house to build, it is stripped down to only what is necessary. Those necessary features are elevated to masterful. The whole place looks like it was whittled from a block of wood. More colonial, please!
I live in New Jersey and unfortunately have never been to all that Morristown has to offer! Perhaps, soon, I will be able to visit and learn for myself all about our wonderful History.
so so beautiful, thanks Ken! (I don't know if this is the proper place to express my grief...my heart goes out to the powerful sacrifices and perseverance, the generousity and importance, and the unwavering human endurance of the slaves, on whose backs US history was built.)
KEN, I LOVE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEW JERSEY HAS BEEN NEAR AND DEAR TO ME FOR YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE MORRIS COUNTY AND MORRISTOWN AREA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE WAS A DAY WHEN I DREAMED OF LIVING IN THAT AREA, BUT THIS WAS RENDERED IMPOSSIBLE DUE TO IT BEING TERRIBLY EXPENSIVE THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT IS ONE OF THE THINGS THAT EVENTUALLY LED TO MY ENDING UP A DISTANCE AWAY, HERE IN EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOWEVER, OF NUMEROUS THINGS TO SEE AND DO IN THAT AREA, I DON'T SEEM TO RECOLLECT "THIS HOUSE", THE FORD MANSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NONETHELESS, IF I AM EVER IN THAT AREA AGAIN, HOPEFULLY I WILL REMEMBER "THIS HOUSE" AND GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE ARE, OF COURSE, SOME HORROR STORIES ABOUT HORRENDOUS DEMOLITIONS THAT HAVE OCCURRED IN THAT AREA, BUT I WILL NOT GET INTO THOSE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IN ANY CASE, THIS IS MOST DEFINITELY ANOTHER DEMOLITION FREE ZONE, SO LONG LIVE THIS HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These Colonial era homes with such history are especially fun to see for those of us from the American Southwest. We enjoyed our trip to Alexandria, VA and Mt. Vernon back in 2019. I love the balance of the architecture of the time.
🎉I find your channel to be among my five favorites. I watch every one. I have a request, however. I love to look at the floor plans but you only ever show the first floor. Could you also the other as well, however briefly? That would broaden my appreciation of the property. Thanks.
I was about to upload tomorrow’s video when I saw your comment. I just slid the second floor plan into that video’s timeline and have it rendering right now. Thanks for watching!
These people were on a whole other level. Hard to imagine anyone in our current government being able to even survive those conditions, much less lead.
KEN, I FORGOT SOMETHING!!!!!!!!! A PLACE I HAVE BEEN TO IN MORRIS COUNTY IS A HOUSE CALLED "SPEEDWELL", AND IT HAS TIES TO SAMUEL MORSE AND THE INVENTION OF THE TELEGRAPH!!!!!!!!!! HAVE YOU DONE A VIDEO ON "THIS HOUSE"???????? LET ME KNOW, AND IF YOU HAVEN'T, THEN HOPEFULLY I HAVE PUT YOU ON TO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely beautiful house. So glad it has been perfectly preserved for future generations.
I have been visiting the Ford Mansion and Jockey Hollow for over 70 years! It never gets old.
great presentation, love the interior, bonnet topped furniture ... a colonial masterpiece
Brilliant slice of American history - thank you!
I love the wooden floors, the wooden beams and old furniture nicely kept.
Thank you Ken. Happy New Year!
Exactly the kind of house I'd like to live in. Slightly higher ceilings than this perhaps, but that kitchen is perfection. For display.
I grew up outside of Morristown and the Ford Mansion was a constant site for me. Many wonderful site in New Jersey.
What a terrific, informative video, Ken.
This one has a unique history thank you for the information on a structure about which I've was unfamiliar.
Thank you for your informative videos an historical content !

Beautiful home Ken! Thank for the tour. Happy New Year’s!
Happy New Year!
I think that this is my favorite house of all the ones you’ve featured.
Now this is my kind of house! I’m glad it survives- definitely on my list of places to see. Thanks Ken!
💛💛💛
Keep up the good work Ken!
I love the house, thanks for showing the floor plan.
My “back yard” … thanks for posting this one 😊
I LOVE this house.
Beautiful, it should have a wing on the left side to make it symmetrical

Quite a bit more comfortable than those grandiose gilded age behemoths. I like it.
Dialed down federalist elegance. I’d pick this home over the gilded age monsters any day
Agreed!

I miss deep snow.

Nice bit of Serlian. 👍
Absolutely Gorgeous
Why are the shutters only on the lower part of the house now?
Why are all the second story shutters missing? Was this filmed during a maintenance period?
Why are there shutters on the first floor, but not the second floor?

I know you’re saying Morristown but I hear moorestown, which is a different town by Philly.
