A night camping in the Yorkshire Dales, a fabulous waterfall walk, a spot of landscape photography and the company of good mates - what could possible go wrong??
The rain as we approached the summit was the first clue, a shelter setup at our pitch spot was probably the second...
Once we discovered that 300 fell runners were approaching on the Fellsman Fell Race we knew our number was up!
Photography was a bust, the timelapses were a blanket of grey and the trudge home was a sea of mud...
However, as one drowned rat noted - "they are all good in their own different way..." Ummm
At least the the Tartent Scarp 1 didn't leak...
