Just bought this bike on FBMP for $300, doing a full restoration on it and wanted somewhat of a rear suspension on it but without knowing how to weld that ain't going to happen, so I wanted to put suspension in the seat but that also included welding, until I found this video, this look pretty promising without have to weld. Are you able to give an update how this has held up?
It definitely helps make going over bumps more tolerable. It can get a little bouncy if you are doing a small jump when you come down, but nothing too terrible. One other thing to consider is that it raises the seat height some. If that is a problem though, you can always add taller handlebars.
@@ARDrummer I won't be really doing much off roading, if any at all, I'm converting this to a street bike so this will probably be perfect for the street.
It works pretty good. I have noticed to really get use of the spring, I have to position myself a little farther back than usual. Either way, makes riding more tolerable over big bumps.
@@ARDrummer I thought about this video when I took the mini bike to an offroad park where SxS, Mod Jeeps, and dirt bikes roam. It was rough but I could hang. With this, I would def have more fun.
@@Odin31bYes, it makes not having a rear shock more tolerable. He and I rode at an offroad park and his mini bike did great (I rode a pit bike). Only thing is brake broke, so had to put his feet down to slow down, lol
