Yeah I was thinking the same thing, those lifan 200cc engines are complete motorcycle engines with 5 gears, a manual clutch, and everything. Those 225cc Tillotsons tho can make up to 17hp, which is insane for a minibike. That would be a cool comparison. I really want to see a suzuki gw250 engine thrown into a minibike. They're 2 cylinder, manual, 5 speed Suzuki road bike engines and they're only like 350 bucks on ebay.
I love your channel. And I love small engine toys. Thank to you, now can work on all my big boy toys. Thanks brother. I pray blessings on you and your channel
So glad I seen this I've got a knock off little 4 wheeler with a crap frame but a sweet little 100cc motor with electric starter...been saving it for something know I know what
I have a 110 Tao Tao that I got in 2008, it still runs, but has to be jump started all the time. It may have been ran without oil for a few hours before idk how it still runs. But it has 1 cracked motor mount and both mounts are twisted. I have welded the mount before and it just broke in a different place. Other than that tho it has been a shit ton of fun, it lasted 13 years- mounts broke in 2021.
An exhaust cut out might come in handy for those times you need some stealth like when passing by a cranky neighbor's property or some night riding and then an open exhaust when you're in a safe place to ride. My daughter's boyfriend is fabricating one for his minibike right now. That'd be something I'd like to see Go Power Sports offer.
Building one like this as we speak. Old manco mini bike and a siezed Chinese engine off a quad out the scrap yard port and polished the head put a 30mm carb custom exhaust and performance cdi I'm ordering a 37t sprocket and hope I can get 55 maybe 60 out of it last quad my younger cousin built ended up going 44 it's definitely more about gearing
Thinking bout doing this my with my old semi auto 3speed 110cc out of my old Chinese atv which had caught on fire and burned the gas tank and bushings but the engine and the harness is still great
Pretty sure youd have to fab the forks with suspension too, there aren't any that Im aware of that can just go right onto the frame without modification of some kind
Making up a plan to do something similar but with a Baja Warrior frame (or similar) but with a bigger engine, something with a built in transmission, maybe from a pit bike or one of those cheaper ATV's
Nice builds. I look at this CT200 frame and all I can think is vintage air cooled 440cc Snowmobile engine swap with torque converter. If five hp is good, 50 plus would be entertaining. Put on a little drag slick on the back and oh hell I better shut up before I start hunting for a blown CT 200 frame.....lol.
I have recently found your videos and love them. Thank you for keeping your mouth clean. I subscribed right away because I love this kind of stuff but usually they feel they have to talk foul and drop the f bomb or take the Lord's name in vane. Thanks for keeping it family friendly.
I have a taotao 125 with a auto shift 3 speed with revers it would be perfect for that I've personally done 40mph on it ive done a few things to it but ya that thing would be cool they also have a 4 speed clutch version of this motor
Not all 110cc quads have that same problem. I had 2 and one was fine but the bushings are all completely shot and the other just doesn't have any suspension that works, but they both have decent frames, there is so many chinese brands you never know what you'll get.
This is my favorite build since the twin engine buggy that you fabricated from scratch. Just a little fyi...I agree with you not wanting people showing up unannounced that you do not know. Just wanted to have a little fun with you. :) Love what you do, you're a super fabricator and God bless you. I would like to be one of your supporters. Perhaps you could have a "Platinum Patron" were a guy could have his name and business name on the wall? Just a idea and question.
I've been thinking about doing the same thing to my CT200U-EX. I took it to Mulberry Mtn in Arkansas recently, and the CVT let me down before I even got to the trail head. I had a brand new Max Power belt, and it disintegrated after going about 5 miles downhill. I swapped on my spare, and got back to camp, but it has me questioning the reliability of this setup for long distance trail riding. I'm looking into a 90, 110cc, or 125cc semi-auto, or manual 4 up, kick-start only, with a charging coil since I have a street legal light setup. That limits my options quite a bit, but I found a few in the $4-450 range.
Good build, I can not wait to see the new engine. Gears will make all the difference. Do you know why the jack shaft set up on OE instead of just flipping the clutch, so the gear is next to the engine?
I was just given a 110cc Chinese go kart and I can’t for the life of me figure out why it won’t start. Put a new carb on it and it has spark. Can’t even get it to fire with starting fluid.
Reminds me of my old Honda ATC but with 2 wheels.. it was a pull start..no luxury electric start lol...or I'd push it and pop it in gear same as my dirt bike.. 😂
i was looking at the 18hp duromax engine and it says it has a 3/8 shaft taper on it it also says it has a 1in shaft....so willl a 1 inch torque converter work?
going to go on my 2 seater go kart/off road buggy would like to get a torque converter as its seems like it would get more power to go up some sandy hills
Wali torque converters cost more, and kinda eat belts. Centrifugal clutches have no torque, and like to slip. You might have to get the cvt setup. Gopowersports should have an OK priced one.
Put a 110 or 125cc on it and buy a 30 dollar wiring harness comes with a sator and direct plug in I did for my Chinese quad but I put a 125 with clutch
John Smith a 110cc engine like that came off of an atv which are much more like a motorcycle engine while a predator 212cc engine is an agricultural engine meant for mowers tillers and other home equipment which doesnt need high rpm and output. They have about the same power but it revs way higher. It could be a longer stroke and probably has quite a bit more compression, a further spark advanced. Many things can affect the power output. Hope this helps
Deucealive75 yep good job summing it up. Also HP is torque times rpm divided by 5250 so being higher revving the HP increases even though torque doesnt have to or it could even decrease
These type of engines are way more powerful carsandcameras put a 140cc 4 speed on chines ATV and pulled harder on dyno than there upgraded 670cc predator
Dude, I love it! Ever since i've been watching your video's. I always wanted to see you put a engine like this on a minibike. And today I saw this video and I loved it, I just like these pitbike engines more than ''lawn mower'' engines. I've got 2 questions, Why do you use ''lawn mower'' engines? Can you make more videos with pibike engines? Hope you answer, Me
jayson springer yes you are right they are cheaper and easier to work on to me. I have owned and worked on both and to me I like working on the lawnmower style engines better
hey so what do you do if ur bike isn't balanced side to side … idk if the engine is to big for the frame? its a coleman frame with a old briggs and Stratton 8hp engine but it doesn't seem center on the engine plate … it seems like if I pull the engine over it may fix the balance any ideas ?
I think if you guys made another bike like this, but with a 5 speed 200cc lifan motor it would go super fast, that would be a cool build
Look up the doodlebastard
Be a good bike to run with the Baja Warrior they built with a 80cc Dirt bike engine she was badass
I’m actually doing a build with a Zhonshen 250cc and a Coleman ct200u exv (black)
@@Peterpumpkineater5557I put a atc 110 engine on a ct200 uex, way funner than the 196 😂
I like the idea of it! Would like to see it with a slightly smaller rear sprocket.
This deserves a new spot in the intro for minibike Monday
14:09 I thought he was gonna start singing hello from Adele 😂😂
never seen a build like this. I always been lookin around for a mini bike with a 50 up to a 125
I was thinking more like 250
I put an Honda atc engine on a Coleman 200 u ex
The garage collection is looking great! Just order my torque converter from Go power for the Coleman EX.
Gonna be a fun mod!
This is what I been waiting to see
I'd like to see a Lifan 200cc build versus a Tillotson 212cc with the torque converter setup. To see what the cost versus performance is.
I dont know if you knew but there are 4 bolt holes on the bottom of those engine's
Not needed, My ATV doesn't mount to anything on the bottom, only uses 2
I hooked mine up to the engine plate and they stripped from the power
I love your channel. And I love small engine toys. Thank to you, now can work on all my big boy toys. Thanks brother. I pray blessings on you and your channel
So glad I seen this I've got a knock off little 4 wheeler with a crap frame but a sweet little 100cc motor with electric starter...been saving it for something know I know what

I really enjoy your videos , you've come a long ways my friend .
Check your oil level! Possible you had a leaking needle valve and oil is full of gas now, assuming it was gravity fed and had fuel in tank when pulled
Another awesome job of fabrication and installation.
yeah, could’ve cut the stock mounts off the quad, welded them and used those. Works like a charm.
Nice plug for Quantum, I was busy looking at the 670 twin stacks.
Minibike Monday budget build. Awesome build
I just don't understand how a giant grown man could have broken a quad frame. I'm glad he did though this video is awesome.
I actually never rode it. Only kids. That model was made close to where I live and was known for that
An exhaust cut out might come in handy for those times you need some stealth like when passing by a cranky neighbor's property or some night riding and then an open exhaust when you're in a safe place to ride. My daughter's boyfriend is fabricating one for his minibike right now. That'd be something I'd like to see Go Power Sports offer.
Finally thanks red beard been waiting for the 110 cc swap
i would love to see some 110cc and 125cc upgrades on the channel
Iv got a 2012 apollo 70cc automatic 4 stroke i wonder how it'd do on a go kart or a old school mini bike
gordo66061
It would Rip.
don't put it on a Go-kart, it's a lil too weak for an automatic. 70cc semi auto would be awesome on a Go-kart
I put a 110 with n a Baja warrior mini bike about a year ago i like it a lot better than the 212 motor
Pretty cool build brother
Also another thing. As long as your valves are adjusted properly you can pretty much leave those engines revved out
That'll be great on a tight single track. Thanks guys for another fun video.
I snapped the frame on my Coleman 200u-ex mini bike ride under where the steering column is welded to the frame
How
I've been wanting to do this with my minibike and with a 125cc semi auto 4 speed
Same! Seen a custom mini with a 125 and suicide shift.
I’m doing a 125cc 4 speed minibike trike
Thinking bout doing this my with my old semi auto 3speed 110cc out of my old Chinese atv which had caught on fire and burned the gas tank and bushings but the engine and the harness is still great
Why nit rob the tank off the original motor and mount it on the rear rack like the spun aluminum tank? Either way, awesome build!
That’s what I did.
No suspension , man that is one rough ride ! I would fab swingarm , change front forks .
Pretty sure youd have to fab the forks with suspension too, there aren't any that Im aware of that can just go right onto the frame without modification of some kind
There’s one set of universal suspension forks. If they’re in stock is another thing 🤣
Making up a plan to do something similar but with a Baja Warrior frame (or similar) but with a bigger engine, something with a built in transmission, maybe from a pit bike or one of those cheaper ATV's
Use napa carbarator dip and soak the carb most likely you have plugged passages
Awesome build. Can't wait to see it with the other engine
Bro I love where you live and American dream!
You can buy a Lifan makes a 150cc motor with 4 speed trans the same size as that motor. Be a good replacement?
I don't think that I'm ever gonna mod my CT200U it just runs soo good as is and it's quiet enough to not piss off my neighbors.
I would like to see one of those big V twins put on a bike
love it!!! look like a blast!!! like Tony Montana said " keep up the bad work " lol
Whoop! Have a couple new viewers with me this evening. They like what they see and you might have a couple new subscribers.
I HAD A 110 AUTO WITH 4-SPEED . NOT BAD
Thanks for the information I'm doing a few builds my self love your channel bro
Awesome stuff man
Very nice.. With new machine
Cool engine swap. Another great video guys.
I have always wanted to see a mini bike with a pit bike style engine on it. How much for the two engines? Cannot wait to see the next video
I have recently found your videos and love them. Thank you for keeping your mouth clean. I subscribed right away because I love this kind of stuff but usually they feel they have to talk foul and drop the f bomb or take the Lord's name in vane. Thanks for keeping it family friendly.
Thank you for watching sir
I have a taotao 125 with a auto shift 3 speed with revers it would be perfect for that I've personally done 40mph on it ive done a few things to it but ya that thing would be cool they also have a 4 speed clutch version of this motor
Great Video,,,,way to think outside the box RBG!
salute Red Beards Garage
Can you make a video on how the trottle works on the coleman ct200u_a
I have an older mini bike, and a 110cc engine I wanna put on it. My problem is finding a sprocket that'll fit the wheel hub
Thats a neat rig
Not all 110cc quads have that same problem. I had 2 and one was fine but the bushings are all completely shot and the other just doesn't have any suspension that works, but they both have decent frames, there is so many chinese brands you never know what you'll get.
You are aware these have a gearbox? It would have more top end if you shifted up?
I had closed captioning on and when you said it had no top end CC deciphered it as “it had no penis” pmsl! Closed captioning is hilarious!
My question is why didn't they just flip the clutch around and ditch the jack shaft
Nice build, I have a 1974 Honda 360 motor that I would like to install in a Coleman frame, can it be done?
A little planning and fab work and it’s definitely possible. I would go with the Coleman ct200 or similar frame. Give you some room for mods
I've been thinking about doing the same thing to my CT200U-EX. I took it to Mulberry Mtn in Arkansas recently, and the CVT let me down before I even got to the trail head. Way cool make this fast I like the 110 motors I have one I need do somethang with
This what I’d like to do on my Super Bronc project,,, you mentioned a bore kit,, how big can you take one of these motors?
It’s like it’s made for that bike
Put a 4 speed with no reverse. And yes they do have manual with electric start and 4 speed. It's a Cleveland 125cc on eBay $275 right now.....
When is the build for the new yellow buggy?
Good build, I can not wait to see the new engine. Gears will make all the difference. Do you know why the jack shaft set up on OE instead of just flipping the clutch, so the gear is next to the engine?
Great video ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
If you gonna try to get a manual shift engine I would just put a 125 or 150 on it. All of them should be a bolt in for your mounts.
Get a 190cc zongsen, it has 5 speed and electric start
I was just given a 110cc Chinese go kart and I can’t for the life of me figure out why it won’t start. Put a new carb on it and it has spark. Can’t even get it to fire with starting fluid.
Complete Badass
Reminds me of my old Honda ATC but with 2 wheels.. it was a pull start..no luxury electric start lol...or I'd push it and pop it in gear same as my dirt bike.. 😂
Really nice RBG!
You should put a honda grom exhaust on it make it a sleeper
i was looking at the 18hp duromax engine and it says it has a 3/8 shaft taper on it it also says it has a 1in shaft....so willl a 1 inch torque converter work?
The 18lbs should have a 1" output shaft so a 40 series cvt will work great on it
thanks, would i have to use a 40 series, are there any other alternates that are cheaper and still fit the duromax?
you can use a 1" bore centrifugal clutch. way cheaper. whats it going on?
going to go on my 2 seater go kart/off road buggy
would like to get a torque converter as its seems like it would get more power to go up some sandy hills
Wali torque converters cost more, and kinda eat belts. Centrifugal clutches have no torque, and like to slip. You might have to get the cvt setup. Gopowersports should have an OK priced one.
I have a motovox with a 50cc 4 speed. This should be a lot faster with 2x the motor!
The Frame looks very similar to a doodle bug
Put a 110 or 125cc on it and buy a 30 dollar wiring harness comes with a sator and direct plug in I did for my Chinese quad but I put a 125 with clutch
AlrezGarage 904
It is a 110cc Motor and he did upgrades to it on another Video.
How does a 110cc have more power than a 212?
John Smith a 110cc engine like that came off of an atv which are much more like a motorcycle engine while a predator 212cc engine is an agricultural engine meant for mowers tillers and other home equipment which doesnt need high rpm and output. They have about the same power but it revs way higher. It could be a longer stroke and probably has quite a bit more compression, a further spark advanced. Many things can affect the power output. Hope this helps
I had the same question, thanks for the explanation.
Yep...Predator=Cheap Chinese lawnmower engine. The 110cc engine here= motorcycle engine. LOL
Deucealive75 yep good job summing it up. Also HP is torque times rpm divided by 5250 so being higher revving the HP increases even though torque doesnt have to or it could even decrease
These type of engines are way more powerful carsandcameras put a 140cc 4 speed on chines ATV and pulled harder on dyno than there upgraded 670cc predator
that 110 was like it was meant to be! 20mph would be fine for trails.
Wheres the updated videos of this build? Lol
We sold it
So wait....that engine has 3-4 hrs on it...and the frame rusted away...??? On the original set up...???
So it just stays in first gear? Why not put a shifter on it
why do smaller atv engines have more power than those mower stile engines?
ill buy 1 shipped if u would of the auto 110cc
seems like that motor would be almost half the size, 200 down to a 110
Dude,
I love it!
Ever since i've been watching your video's. I always wanted to see you put a engine like this on a minibike. And today I saw this video and I loved it, I just like these pitbike engines more than ''lawn mower'' engines.
I've got 2 questions,
Why do you use ''lawn mower'' engines?
Can you make more videos with pibike engines?
Hope you answer,
Me
Soeplepelman 1.0 they are cheaper and easier to work with probably
jayson springer yes you are right they are cheaper and easier to work on to me.
Those 110cc carbs are $13 on Ebay maybe $20 with a new air filter. I have a spair they are so cheap
Gave me so many good ideas
How come this is the only vid of this bike on the channel
I do think they make a electric start manual one
A Tillotson 212 with torque converter and 60 tooth rear sprocket would demolish that.
200cc lifan 5 speed w/ clutch tho, that'd be a ride!
Whatever happend to the mini chopper?
How much for that stock jackshaft that came up that mini bike to include the first drive chain to include the first drive chain
Bring that to your meet up
you should show us the inside of the engine!!!
If I had that I would try to make it street
