To me that “such a puppy” line is cool because there are lots of references to military dogs, and essentially that’s what they are, dogs that do what they’re told. Just like Rufus’s guard dog. The avalanche dog is another one, where a dog has a military helmet on.
I completely missed the limp callback to Cloud's chapter 2 flashback in Remake. Great work as always, brother!

5:00 It is worth mentioning that the lightning attack that breaks the bridge looks suspiciously like the casting of thunder. It originates from a direction not far from the reactor. My immediate thought to this was someone cast it to slow us down or reduce our numbers. Genesis perhaps?
Cloud's story stops short of any knowledge of Genesis. Literally the second Genesis would have appeared.

@@m.j.gallagher6756 I agree. But screenshots would suffice for some of the more interesting references and are readily available via searches
@@ryanhorton9594 To be honest, using screenshots is not my style. And even if it was, some of what I talk about comes from Ultimanias or novels, which you can't really get a screenshot of. In a perfect world, it would all be accessible from a visual perspective without having to jump through hoops, but I'm afraid it's just not worth it.
