I'm building my very first racing mower out of a 78 sears craftsman and love your builds! Of course mine won't be quite as powerful as i'm a college student on a strict budget but it's awesome to see some tips/tricks and how to do things. I'll be using a 16hp vanguard twin. I really like your front axle, inspiration for how i'll do mine! Cant wait to see the final outcome :) Jack.
Pretty sporty, I've a cadet retro. so far a wiesco rev kit and a Bradley hood homemade megaphone exhaust, paddle tires puller love to hear the big koler Rev. Semi mod class. Approx 50 horse w/ vp c-14 I wanted to spool alcohol to it, mabey latter getting 2 $ 4 playing around on. Your Fab is Fab. I'm glad I found your post....Thanks brother
You in Colorado? That looks like a blunt. Where that gearbox come from? Can you get different ratios. I’m using a stock 5 speed pearless but don’t think it’s going to last. Got it full of grease but still gets really hot. Btw nice looking racer
I found a big sheet of thin guage spring steel that I use for quik change belt guides.. they work perfectly but with your method u can weld multiple nuts for different pulleys which could b cool.. your Ackerman arms are backwards tho the inside tire should turn sharper and with forward facing arms they should be angled out following the line intersecting the center of rear axle and the kingpin.. no matter what with the setup u have one of those front wheels has to slip in order to turn making understeer unavoidable
awesome build man.. I've been making vids of my builds lately and a lot of the stuff I do I learned from your old vids... it would b cool if u checked out my vids ...
