This is on a modded PS4 Pro. If you can get a PS4 with low enough firmware version, you can do this too! It's no easy process, but diligence will pay off. There are whole subreddits and TH-cam channels dedicated to how to jailbreak PS4. If you want good 60 fps performance, you'll want a PS4 Pro or better (it's been done on PS5, but only on a PS5 dev kit)
That said, the mods seem to work great! Not fully consistent 60 fps, but dang it looks nice the majority of the time! -- Watch live at / lobosjr
The randomized speech and text are somehow no more confusing than the game's vanilla dialogue

I swear with this randomizer, Bloodborne just IS a Castlevania game, from the minibosses just roaming around randomly right down to the floating masses of swords firing everywhere. It's completely become 3d Castlevania at this point and I. AM. HERE FOR IT.

So for anyone else curious about the fall damage gem, according to the wiki, anything that boosts beasthood reduces fall damage by an equal amount.
So wearing the 20 beasthood rune reduces fall damage by 20 percent, up to the height where all fall damage becomes lethal.
That's fascinating and I never noticed, despite abusing beast blood pellets on every run.
It's late I know, but in reality what happens is that the Beast Runes (excluded Beast's Embrace) all have a hidden secondary effect of reducing Fall Damage to a percent, to the point that the Tier 3 nullifies it all together, while Beasthood in itself has no effect on Fall Damage reduction.

I set up my own Ps4 Pro for 60 FPS bloodborne and well it was and wasn't worth it. I love Bloodborne but in the end setting it up was expensive asf since I did it during covid
It's past my bedtime and I work tomorrow but I'm so stoked to watch this playthrough. This is going to be good.

Amelia in the shadows (with the wet nurse shadow realm effect ) would actually be such an awesome boss fight it looks way more atmospheric and spooky
38:28 This is also what happened in your Dark Souls 2 enemy randomizer playthrough. You went to fight the Last Giant, which is usually the first boss for most people, and instead it was Nashandra (the final boss of the main game, if you don't do Aldia's quest). That's crazy.
Happened again in the most recent DS1 run. You could almost suspect it's scripted

Lobos is so ungodly amazing at these games, that the mod devs lower the difficulty when he can't even beat a mod. Always love watching Lobos do his challenge and mod runs. Always thought I was good at these games, then he comes along and shows me why I'm still an ametuer and I love it!
Gonna put a few notes and such here to clarify things as I watch this, for anyone confused or interested by things that may come up.
IIRC the Brador set has the highest physical defenses.
The bloody corpse in question is the one from the boss room. If it were the gate guy he'd be knocking at the gate.
The Beast-Possessed Soul is an enemy in both the main game and the dungeons.
The bloated head in the dark house is a variant that does attack and is not connected to the Saint Adelaide quest, but are found only in a couple of rooms, if not just one.
IIRC Yes, you can break any of Amelia's limbs to set her in a visceral state.

Witches can summon something like 3 Madmen at a time, so there was one Madman, a female patient, and the Blood-letting Beast.
Usually its the White Church Hunter set on top of the shack before the poison cave, but that isn't the first time an item wasn't there.
The thing that exploded off screen in Cainhurst was likely the big centipede things from the dungeons and Byrgenwerth because when he found it he could drag the loot around, which is what you can do with their flowers when they die.

so about the respawning "crystal lizards". bloodborne(and dark souls 3) have a mechanic where if you kill a npc it will try to respawn their drops every time you reload an area. this is so you don't miss out on important loot(i assume anyway). but the games don't have a way to de-spawn the loot other than warping out. so if you manually walk far enough away to unload an area, only the item will remain. if you reload the area then the game respawns the item and you can essentially dupe certain items using this method. bloodborne also respawns crystal lizards like this if you don't pick up their loot(according to a guy on reddit who figured this whole thing out), so even if you pick up their randomized loot they will not stop respawning because you're not picking up their dedicated loot. this is all just an assumption though.
If that was the case then the dogs in the forest bug would still work. Patch number one fixed that.

It's crazy just how similar it suddenly looks to Dark Souls 3 when running at 60 FPS. I've always associated 30 FPS with Bloodborne's identity and it always looked unique because of that, and now that I see it running in 60....damn, DS3 and BB look almost like twins.

Yes, boost mode is meant to keep games at 60. In games that don't run at 60 like Bloodborne it keeps the frames at 30. Also if you're running it on a monitor under 2k pixels, run supersampling as well to help with fidelity.

I wish it was easy to just spawn a boss and fight them in this game. Yharnam is by far my favourite boss in this game but I so rarely got to fight her because the boss before her is easily the one I find the absolute hardest out of pretty much every soulsborne boss.
