#AndrewNewton #18650charger #AAcharger
Nice overview. ISDT charges are great. I have one with an XT-60 connector.
Knowing the mAh from when charging, or discharging so is invaluable to check a cells usable capacity ... as it decreases over time. Useful to know the usable capacity, as it tells how long cells will last on a charge. (no surprise power outs)
Fantastic review Andrew! I am going to purchase one myself! I have 18650's and 21700's so this charger will be perfect!
There are a lot of these little ISDT, ToolKit, URUAV, etc Lipo chargers of various types out in the market. Some of them are quite useful in the field but I can't see this 1 taking off. AU$73 for something that only charges 18650 or NiMh batteries!? You can buy 20 18650 carriers with wires for less than a buck each, add a connector and charge them with a similar type of field charger that can charge ALL your other batteries as well - even your vehicle battery when you've flattened that! 😜😁
You should update your video title to include EVO. There is an older ISDT C4 and yours is the new C4 Evo version.
Thanks, title amended
You have to hook the device to a PD or QC3.0 power supply in order to charge 18650 li-on batteries
What is that? I’m having trouble charging .It says incompatible power supply
I had the same problem.
QC3.0 / PD is a strong power supply.
No review mentioned this.
I am still researching if QC 3.0 means 30,60 or 100 watts.
20 watts don´t work.
powerstation with 100 watts output @ USB QC3.0 works
ISDT so make some cool items. 👍🏻
❣️
❣️👌👍
if power off then battery inserted, no problem?
No problem
@@AndrewNewton Quite the problem.
Try unplugging the power supply while the 18650 (or some other) Li-ion batteries are installed. The charger stays on, the fan spins, I end up having to take the batteries out of it.
I watched some reviews on TH-cam, but I missed that somebody said,
this device needs an QC3.0 or PD power supply.
Therefore it doesn´t work with a powerbank (20 W), 2,4A wall socket power supply, PC, or any other normal USB port.
Works only with my powerstation (QC 3.0 output) I think per definition this has a 100 watts output.
The charger won´t even start anything if you try something below. Error Display wrong supply, use QC 3.0 or PD... that´s it.
I wonder why I need (30, 60, 100 ??) so many watts to charge a 18650 or any other battery.
My friend has one of these and uses a power bank to charge his AA's. Doesnt take long to go full charge either.
isnt really a 6channel charger unless you can Charge on all six Channels in parallel... seem more like a 4ch nimh / 2ch 18650...
