I bought one of these a couple months ago and I’m generally very happy with it. The first thing you notice when removing from the box is the obvious quality. Set up is as easy as it was made out to be on the video. I was up and running in five minutes or less. My only bummer is that it doesn’t work on the scope/ eyepiece I bought this to work with. The spotting scope eyepiece I want to use it on has a sight bevel right in the only place I can put the clamp. This prevents a tight setup that doesn’t want to slip off. It works fine on the fix powered eyepiece sold as an accessory, and in fact every other eyepiece I tried it on. “Universal fit” seldom completely lives up to its name, as there is always some manufacturer that has to screw it up. MSM came very close to achieving a universal adapter, but thanks to an odd ball manufacturer, fell a bit short. The taper on the eyepiece, to make matters worse, seems to be purely cosmetic.
The problem I always have with these is that my iPhone 14Pro has three lenses and I always seem to align the eyepiece with the wrong one (or the other ones somehow click on when I don’t want them to).
Hi Tich! There's Video Stack (or it might be Stacker) for IOS and Eagle Stacker for Android which I've been meaning to play around with. I read that Eagle Stacker has potential but isn't fully realised yet. I think it's only a matter of time though mate before we can effectively live stack Astrophotos on our phones :D
I have both and they both work. Problem with my Nex-YZ was that there was too much "play" in the phone & eyepiece. Once setup on my scope it seemed ok but only if I used a remote shutter release.
5% off if you use code Astro5 www.moveshootmove.com?aff=381
Looks like a nice simple bit of kit Chris, thsnks for taking the time to make this review
Thanks Tony :)

This is an improved version of the hateful Plastic version and a cheap alternative for expensive "Celestron Adaptor".

Nice.
Looks a nice bit of kit Chris & very well made, I wonder if you shot video on your phone you could do a stack of Lunar or a solar image?

Celestron Nex-YZ is far Superior to anything that I have ever used.

The device looks well thought out, but will not fit my Galaxy S23 ultra with case. And I will not take off the case.
