Great review! Very informative 👍
I have one feedback though. Kindly check your audio levels on your editing program if they're on a normal level. Because this video's volume was like edited with a -80% volume. I had to crank my MacBook Pro's volume up to 97%.
Pro-tip: When you're editing a video, set your computer's volume to at least 50% (whether you're using headphones or speakers). Then after exporting, test your exported project on speakers which are set to 50%. If you can hear and understand the audio from at least two feet away, you're good.
Good audio will always make a huge impact, I'll tell you.
Got mine yesterday and it seems very well built. Comparing to my Samsung watch 6 classic they seem to be accurate with each other. Sleep tracking was nice to see last night and it matched up with my RESMED CPAP tracking, not 100% but close enough to let me know when I knocked my mask off and when I didn't. Glad to know I don't have to have my phone with me the entire time I am using this device. When I am working on cars or on the acreage I don't like having my phone with me. I hope it last and they continue to update the software, this is what I have been looking for for a long time. I am a 58 year old retired disabled veteran with Type 2 diabetes, Sleep Apnea, Atrial Fibrillation and a completely fused left ankle. I walk every night 2-4 miles and average a total of 5-6 miles walking every day. This along with my watch and dietary changes will help me stay around a little while longer for my 9 kids and 5 grand kids.
As a side note, I think they could make it a little wider, not thicker but a wider surface for men. Not a fan of skinny rings but this one is fine for now. I just ordered the protector and will see how that goes.
Do you have to ship the test rings back or are they just a cheap plastic to test with
@@knightwalkr Never got the test rings.
Great balanced review I have place my order for the Gen 2 which will hopefully ship in September.
I've had the Ringconn for about a month now and find it to be a valuable product for my needs. I also had the Oura but returned it due to the ridiculous subscription fee. So far I've found the Ringconn to be a great product. Is there a membership forum where others can communicate and share their experiences or ask questions?
Good review, more in depth than other reviews. 👍👍👍
An interesting spin on smart rings... I asked RingConn to send me one of their rings and even gave them some interesting video ideas I would like to do in their, and my, behalf. If they send me one, yes, I'll review it. I am quite curious about their portable charging case and would love to see how the RingConn stands up to the ŌURA Ring, Circular Ring, and the Ultrahuman Ring Air. Thanksf or your video 🤓
I'm excited for my RingConn but a 10+ day delivery for sizing kit & likely another week+ after the sizing kit arrive to get the ring is a very slow purchasing process. They definitely need to work on that.
That transition was fucking amazing
🔥🔥🔥
17.27 Yeah that was! Mind blown 😂
Volume is very low in the video
How is the size compared to your wedding ring size (or standard US ring size) ?
did you listen to your audio ?
When it was at $149 it was a good deal. It was still a good deal at $199. At its current price of $249 on sale it's not that good of a deal when compared to oura if you care about accuracy. Every review I've seen that compare all smart rings say the oura is the only one that is accurate like a smart watch.
I would disagree, i find RingConn extraordinary accurate in most of the functions. Everything which was not too accurate, was improved very fast and is functioning flawless, even the product is still in kind of beta phase and improving enormously with every update. I only wait for the automated training recognition, as well as improvement with sports data, as it is not accurate enough (yet).
The most stunning accuracy is regarding sleep readings. It improved so much, that i find the data even more accurate than of other smart tracking devices
@@vladislavkhrapach6730 I'm only going based on every review I've seen. Yours is the only one I've seen so far saying it is accurate.
Ransoming my health data didn't make me happy, but I was willing to pay the $6/month (because I can't wear a watch or Whoop) but that didn't happen because of something I think all potential buyers should be aware of: I finally received the Gen 3 Horizon ring. However, it would not connect to my Samsung Galaxy phone even after doing ALL of the recommended BS steps they recommend via their "help" pages. Further research revealed that it is an "OPEN KNOWN ISSUE 1577 - ANDROID FAILS TO CONNECT". No fix. No workaround. No updates. Apparently, no one is even working on a fix. THEY'RE SELLING RINGS THEY KNOW WON'T WORK!
Umm the subscription that oura has makes it incomparable in terms of price the subscription is absolutely ridiculous.
Paying a monthly fee and $100 more brings down oaua's value proposition.
Didnt Oura start with no subscription? Then their shareholders got greedy ( yes, i know, software update cost money) . I suspect RingConn will do the same after they gain users and market share. Always a matter of time.
It’s possible but I certainly hope not 🤞
Have you used it during running and compared with Fitbit/Apple Watch or similar, how exact is the steps count then?
please fix your audio level.
Well made video however needs improvement on audio. Thank you for sharing the info on the product I am interested.
Nice video 👍I realized we have the same desktop background, what are the odds of that!
Does this ring have alerts for stress, heart rate, etc? If so, how do they work?
No alerts unfortunately, at this stage your main way of interacting with the ring is via the app and it doesn’t specifically send notifications to the phone if it detects things like stress etc
Will it be ok for lifting weights at the gym? Won’t break right?
Won’t break but probably will scuff it up though
It definitely get scuffed, or wear gloves when you lift.@@CJYing
Can you go swimming with it on ?
Yes you can!
My ring should be delivered tomorrow. Does the ring come fully charged or do I need to charge it when I get it?
I would charge it first
And this ring made by which country?
Pretty sure its Chinese made
Volume too low, can't watch
Low sound, can't watch it sorry
Sorry mate, will ensure audio is fixed for my future vids. Thanks for clicking through anyway
Volume really bad
It is
Hi, can we connect the ring with Apple Health app?
Yes you can!
@@CJYing How though?
There’s an option in the settings in the RingConn app that allows you enable Apple Health connection
low audio
Fresh peeing
What is the battery life expectancy before the ring dies completely?
Rated up to 7 days but more closer to 4-5 in my use
