The fact that Scott Adkins has been overwhelmingly accepted and loved by all of us old-school action fans proves that he's of the highest quality. No other action star that has risen to fame post-1995 has received the same level of enthusiasm. In my mind he's at an equal level with the greats now, a true action superstar.
I always see your comments at the top of videos like this and I got to say, I love your attitude and your insights. Its what I love about fans of this genre, they recognise when someone has paid their dues because they know its not easy.

Agree with both of you my brothers. Love action films that are really thought out and tried to do stuff different. Stallone definitely an all time great. Make sure you see the Samaritan. Dude is still making great films that are good.

@@shel0016 I'm completely with you brother. Stallone is the single greatest living action star second to none. Someone who has been doing stunning work in the arena of well-thought, different action films is director Jesse V. Johnson. I've been a fan of his for nearly 15 years now, and the quality of his movies just gets better and better. He's figured out the perfect formula for action flicks. He builds on the foundation of gritty, character-driven 1970s movies, and then mixes that with over-the-top 80s and 90s style action sequences. He and Scott have been really cranking out some good stuff the past few years. I can't wait to see what their next collaboration will be. Fingers crossed it'll be Scott Adkins and Olga Kurylenko kicking ass together!

Not that there is anything wrong with the way Scott's career went but the guy deserves to be bigger. He should have been the Stallone/Arnold of the 2000's and up.

HOLY SHIT this is exciting , actually I didn't think you would ever have Scott Adkins on the channel I'm not sure why I thought that but this is up there with my favorite of your videos along side Frank Dux and Don "The Dragon" Wilson. Last year During the pandemic, really the only two main TH-cam channels I watched were Viking Samurai and Scott Adkins's Art of Action and this video now brings them both together. (This really is the crossover episode which is what makes this so damn cool, reminds me of when Arrow and Flash had crossovers) props on this interview Viking - If you can't get Van Damme, just get everyone around him- Frank Dux, Kris Van Damme, Sheldon Lettich and now Scott Adkins, Dolph Lundgren next please.

Accident Man (1) is one of Scott’s all-time best.
Amazing martial artist and a very good actor too. The UK is blessed with such a wealthy base of different styles and action film actors, and Scott being one of my favourites. The late Darren Shahlavi also being up there in UK martial arts folklore. Great interview and a big score for the channel IMHO 👍😊

Cool to hear he really liked Universal Soldier Regeneration. I always think with that movie that's it's pretty clear the budget wasn't huge and it's not super "polished", but it still just works. It's just a raw, gritty, brutally awesome action film.

Scott Adkins is one of the few people that had an awesome interview with Steven Seagal. Much respect shown from both Adkins and Seagal.
i liked Seagal's movies when i was a kid then kind of stopped watching him but i actually started to hate him because of all the negative media until i watched that scott adkins episode which made me like Seagal again and also question why i began to hate him in the first place and it was the media. (even though he does bring some of it on himself) but he was very respectful in that interview almost like a completely different person the fake media likes to talk bad about, i think a year or so after that one Jesse Enkamp's interview with Seagal was really good too and again showed him in a good way.
@@The_Chameleon Scott Adkins is a very likeable guy. Seagal on the other hand is different in real life. I presume that Seagal does that on purpose. What I really hate about Seagal is that he´s supporting Russia in that war against the Ukraine right now. That´s disgusting but I will always love his first 5 movies. There´s a reason why Seagal was the biggest martial arts star during his prime. The guy was amazing in his prime and so different from anybody else.

Scott Adkins has such charisma and humility when he talks and yet is completely believable as a ruthless badass in films like Avengement.

I also saw Adkins, for the first time ever, in Undisputed 2. His accent as Boyka made me think he’s was actually Russian LOL In other words, he did awesome with that role to the point that I believe Boyka, the Most Complete Fighter in the World, is his most memorable character and the one most people identify him with.

Very interesting interview. I watched it 3 times already. Scott seemed a little cold, aloof, possibly tired. Different from his TH-cam channel. We all have our days. Viking, I think this is your best interview considering Scott was a little off his game. You handled it well!

maybe he's not used to getting interviewed, he usually does the interviewing, or maybe he doesn't really like to answer alot of questions, i noticed only slightly a bit of a difference i didn't think at the time of watching as him being cold or aloof but i did notice only a small difference in the way he normally is. maybe just tired he works and works out alot.
@@The_Chameleon yes, good points. Off the bat with the Hard Target 2 comment/joke toward Viking, and that he saw the Bey Logan interview, it caught my attention. I remember that interview pretty well. I can’t get into the context of that interview because it would take too long, but I can understand why Adkins may not be too fond of that interview from his perspective.
However, he could be just warming up. He wasn’t bad, but it was a stark contrast to the way he usually is. Reminds of Michael Jai White a little bit in a way. I agree that Adkins was probably very tired in this interview. Overall, great interview by Viking Samurai!

Another great interview. I like Scott Adkins. He has been very consistent with his films and he gets plenty of work. He might not be in the same level as JCVD nor has to be. His movies are fun to watch on a lazy Sunday afternoon and I enjoyed his last film with Dolph Lundgren as well. I can't remember the name right now. I saw it on Tubi and it was fun to watch.
