No...you want to move the body once you are able to spread the energy to neutralize the incoming force. So when I am moving back.. its cause they are pushing me and once that is neutralized...you can then twist them to get the better position. Essentially the person going for takedown has to deal with 3 issues. 1),separating or spreading of energy at point of contact 2) the wc structure being solid yet movable as one unit 3) equal 50/50 of your hands spreading the energy. If he were to say be stronger 70/30 right arm on you then that will be the direction you will turn him. Hope that helps! Happy training!
