Just finished the main story line, i stumbled upon the spoiler that Arthur dies early on but wasn't too upset i still didn't know how. The final missions riding back to camp with that music playing and all the voices speaking, i knew this was it, and man that hit hard. Rockstar is amazing at pulling you into the character emotionally.

I finished with honor maxed. The moment I noticed Arthur developing this cough, I had a horrible feeling it was "TB". So from the moment he coughs blood and passes out in Saint Denis I went full on good guy. I knew he was dying and the fact that it drags on SO long and watching Arthur get worse and worse was heart wrenching. Toward the end when I was making my way back to the cave in cinematic view with the in game music playing, was like knowing your best friend was fixing to die and there is nothing you can do to stop it. I almost didn't take that ride. It was hard to handle. Excellent game! Very sad ending! RIP Arthur Morgan...
Seeing the bald eagle waiting/guarding got me choked up. I love the idea that Arthur epitomised freedom and resilience and rebirth. And he was always true to himself. Man I miss this guy
Why not? There are other supernatural things in the games. And we hear the ghosts at past sites. I wouldn't be surprised to get near the animal and that be the trigger to hear Arthur's memories.

Qbix Rożniewski maybe it’s would be cool to go even further back, personally if like to play as young Hosea, at arutors camp the picture with young Dutch and hosea and very young Arthur. I think that would be awesome Hoesea was a great character and it would show us more of how the gang really formed. Arthur would be in it but you don’t play as him and he’s young in his teens or early 20s and Hosea as Arthur’s age. I think that would be the best way to do a 3 if they are to go even more back in time but I doubt they will I think it will be after these events and after the rdr1 events maybe play as jack which personally I would not care for a lot of people wanted that to be rdr2 but I’m personally glad it wasn’t. It was pouring while I was climbing the mountain. I thought how am I ever going to find this grave (just checking off the graves list, not knowing which one was Arthur's). Then when I approached the grave, the sky cleared and there was the most beautiful sunset. I cried.

Stress Davis before the last mission I took Arthur to Valentine, was friendly to all the townsfolk. Petted every dog. Took him to a saloon and had food and drink and had him sleep at the hotel. Basically had him make right with people and gave him a good day. That last mission...brutal.

Sadly I finished the game as low honor, but that's because I decided to stay low early in the game before I became so attached to Arthur. Upon visiting the grave and seeing the black coyote I was instantly broken hearted. During the cut scenes you always saw this spirit animal and now here it is guarding Arthurs grave and if you follow it it will even hang out with you. This really choked me up and brought me to tears. Well done Rockstar, well done...
One thing I noticed was when I went back to where Arthur died fighting Micah on the hill, there was an eagle sitting on the ledge of the mountain. I'm not sure whether it was because of high honor or not, so I found that pretty curious.
Buell died. The horse I inherited from Hamish. The horse I took such good care of to fulfill his final wish. The horse I pet and fed after every time I dismounted him. That honestly made me so sad. I had 2 other 4 stage bonded horses in the stables too, Baron (golden coat male Turkoman) and Frost (white coat female Arabian.) I guess I just gotta hope they will be well taken care of in the stables... honestly, killed my protagonist AND my horse? Why Rockstar? :(

The significance of it being a California Valley Coyote is that Arthur is from Northern California. He mentions this when talking to Hamish and also when playing dominoes at camp. He mentions he keeps a flower by his bed that was his mother's favorite. He mentions the flower only grows in Northern California and Southern Oregon.

In my first play through, when I visited the grave site, on the cross it said “blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness “. I wondered if it changed based on how the honor was. I guess it does. Arthur is Moses who helps John Marston reach the promised land, but doesn’t get there himself.

It was pouring while I was climbing the mountain. I thought how am I ever going to find this grave (just checking off the graves list, not knowing which one was Arthur's). Then when I approached the grave, the sky cleared and there was the most beautiful sunset. I cried.

Was satisfied to see flowers. Arthur had me in tears during his last couple of missions
Stress Davis before the last mission I took Arthur to Valentine, was friendly to all the townsfolk. Petted every dog. Took him to a saloon and had food and drink and had him sleep at the hotel. Basically had him make right with people and gave him a good day. That last mission...brutal.

Sadly I finished the game as low honor, but that's because I decided to stay low early in the game before I became so attached to Arthur. Upon visiting the grave and seeing the black coyote I was instantly broken hearted. During the cut scenes you always saw this spirit animal and now here it is guarding Arthurs grave and if you follow it it will even hang out with you. This really choked me up and brought me to tears. Well done Rockstar, well done...
One thing I noticed was when I went back to where Arthur died fighting Micah on the hill, there was an eagle sitting on the ledge of the mountain. I'm not sure whether it was because of high honor or not, so I found that pretty curious.

Buell died. The horse I inherited from Hamish. The horse I took such good care of to fulfill his final wish. The horse I pet and fed after every time I dismounted him. That honestly made me so sad.
I had 2 other 4 stage bonded horses in the stables too, Baron (golden coat male Turkoman) and Frost (white coat female Arabian.) I guess I just gotta hope they will be well taken care of in the stables... honestly, killed my protagonist AND my horse? Why Rockstar? :(

I think this is because i always helped the people who needed to be helped in the game and wanted nothing in return. I mean like when you have the option to take money for doing right or helping someone... but i always helped for free.

Its been a week and im still crying like a baby. I love playing as John but Arthur will hold a place in my heart and the game feels empty without him 😭 still a wonderful game.
In my first play through, when I visited the grave site, on the cross it said “blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness “. I wondered if it changed based on how the honor was. I guess it does. Arthur is Moses who helps John Marston reach the promised land, but doesn’t get there himself.
