That was an *AMAZING* leap to pounce the squirrel! Must've been over 5X's the length of its body with no running start!

Thank you for sharing these excellent videos of wildlife. They bring me so much joy and the chance to see how animals survive in their natural habitat versus zoos. Please keep posting as they offer a wonderful respite from our current chaos.

I hear like a leaf blower in the background which helps me appreciate these beautiful animals still move among us even though people invaded their space. Mom and babies were a beautiful sight to see.

That's me leaf blowing our moss garden about 150 feet away from them at about 930AM.

@rbgg153890 bob What city/town do you reside? If I may inquire? My former county in NC has seen a resurgence of deer & black bears since I moved away in 1985. Although, all of NC is experiencing recovering black bear populations & the need to become 'bear aware'. The other issue is bobwhite quail & cottontail rabbits remain suppressed from former pre1980s population levels. I remember bobwhite calls as a 16yo in Robeson co as an almost daily event. Few & far (decades) between since then.

I used to think that rabbits were the main prey of bobcats. But now I'm guessing it must be squirrels.

@@fortunatoofamontillado1059 They live good, especially the lynxs in Canada. The minute they get a deer that's food for a week.

Incredible footage. You must have had 3 to 5 game cameras mounted to catch all of this.
Bobcats are stealthy and elusive animals. I saw my 1st live bobcat last week while hiking with my dogs.
It crossed the trail then vanished into the woods.

You’re not very smart are you? Squirrels are a major part of the bobcat’s food supply. The survival of squirrels is very important to the survival of bobcats. All members of the food chain are equally important. Except you.
