    This is pretty good and while I know now how to do lofts it might help to do a longer step-by-step tutorial in detail as other channels do. It's not only beneficial for beginners but for intermediate users who have an idea of how things work, but who will really get it once they see it done in detail.
    Cad Cam tutorial and Tim from Arundell Community College currently have the best tutorials because they're in depth, showing the step-by-step details explaining everything along the way.

    How do you do the back part of the fuselage right? When the bottom of the fuselage in the back narrows towards the top, the sketches get strange shapes. It is sort of a circular shape, with a U going up at the bottom. Could you help me with this?
    Otherwise it was a very nice tutorial! I had been scratching my head for some time thinking of how to make a plane i Solidworks, so thanks for the help. :)

    @Hoppgutt ended up just redoing the whole thing anyway. do the above to get the general size the make a construction line from one of the sides straight up and a one between the top and bottom.. draw an elipse in that boundary

  • @geetarwanabe
    @geetarwanabe 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Hoppgutt it turned out okay using that method but it took forever. I also tried to copy the slanted shape and make an angled plane to copy the shape onto. it worked but would loft properly

    Great tutorial! One massive problem, though. at 12:36 when you repeat the process and bringing in the front view, this time it doesnt let me move the image plane to the origin. The first time, it worked flawlessly. But this time, nothing happens. Any ideas mate?

    is there any way to dimension the fuselage this way? such as giving the fuselage length and diameter?

    How did you closed the loft on the nose tip to be round ?

    • @gonzalomorenoandonaegui2052
      @gonzalomorenoandonaegui2052 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@namespace9837 aparently pros only make a revolve in the nose tip, so the profile to be revolved must have a continuity constrain with the fuselage profile, and depending on the software you are using, you could do it just with the same fuselage loft but in the final profile (tip) intead of a profile you make a center point and choose the point tangent option for the tip to be round and closed (that option is in fusion 360's Loft command).

    Great video! I was following this tutorial and had a ?...Since you sketched the fuselage from an arbitrary magnification, though the part will have the desired shape, the sketch dimensions will also be arbitrary to the magnification. I tried scaling from "mold tools" but it doesn't update the sketch dimensions. I also tried creating a design table which should do the trick, but for some reason the auto-create feature doesn't include the loft which contains the planes. This creates errors as the two fuselages sketches are bigger but no longer pierced. Please advise!

    How do you get the nose nice and round? i keep getting it very pointy.

    This was a great video. Could you make a video on how to make the parrot disco drone? Or any drone that’s a fixed wing?

    • @EliChmouni
      @EliChmouni  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, With wins you can either do the profile method or you need the points coordinate to draw a spline

  • @geetarwanabe
    @geetarwanabe 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Did you ever figure out how to fix it? I've got the same problem.. I'm thinking just make an elipse thats the same height as the top and bottom but the same width as the sides.. pierce the top and bottom only

    Good day Sir
    I have got a very complex loft that I am not able to solve.
    It is the cowling of my airplane that I am trying to make it new style.
    Would you be able to give me a help?
    Of course I could forward the sketch and guide curves.
    It is very complex!
    Thanks
    Regards
    Gianluca
