Reversed cards mean simple that you especially need to focus upon the issue connected to that particular card. It could also mean that the energy around that particular card's meaning is beginning lessen! That's from Angel Lady Doreen Virtue and it is true . Take that way and you will have less headache! So actually there is no any reverse or something negative about the card as you may think but rather that you need to pay more attention to that situation!
True is you do not need to read reversed cards.Just read message from cards. I read some book Phantasmagoria by Ian Daniels he is also creator of my very accurate and awesome tarot deck The tarot of vampyres.He said he never read reversed cards and he is not recommending unless you do some shadow spread work for yourself. So keep it simple and it will give more sense.

I have not been able to find an email address so here we go.Paul Fenton Smith uses technique of returning to the previous card to learn the lesson thereof eg Major Arcana Sun reversed, still holding some negative emotions, doubts, fears etc to be cleared for Sun to shine! Eg Minor Arcana, 3of Wands reversed, return to the 2of Wands to look again at decision made which is frustrating forward movement-John xx

There are other intuitive interpretations which are not "negative" nor limiting. ♣ I *RECOMMEND* buying from Amazon the magnificently insightful intuitive book "The Complete Book Of Tarot Reversals" by Mary K. Greer! She is a loved expert on Tarot & spiritually mystical. She teaches Reversed Cards as being also mystically inward & shamanic etc! Also, "Seventy-Eight Degrees Of Wisdom" by Rachel Pollack! ♣♥
