Good to see you back Rudy, It's mind-blowing how Tariq went from being the most hated character in the powerverse to one of the most popular, ever since taking responsibility for all the atrocities he's committed in the first book and admitting his desire for the life was greatly exaggerated, Tariq's last step towards redemption will be finally accepting that he's just like Ghost.

I think one of the overarching themes of this season, and with Tariq’s character specifically, is motivation. I.E., why is he doing this? Why is he still pursuing this life? What’s his purpose? I think this season will provide Tariq with a true sense of what his motivations are and where does he aspire to be.
With this season running headline being “Like Father, Like Son” it’s a great contrast to see how Tariq perceives his place in the underworld as opposed to how Ghost did. With Ghost, we saw him use the drug as a means to an end. He learned how to thrive within it and used it to propel him to where he truly aspired to be. This season has to answer that question for Tariq and how it relates to his family and who he can really trust.

I have a possible theory about Detective Carter: y’all think it’s possible that the reason he knows about Tariq, his dad and the truth about them is that because his wife might’ve died as a result of a shootout or drugs that were connected to Ghost and Tommy?….or that he’s connected to an old character from the original series?

An underrated key piece of law enforcement this season will also be Junior (Paz’ son/Angela’s nephew)…..I really believe that flash drive he received from Saxe at the end of last season is most likely that inadmissible video that Saxe recorded of Tariq drunkenly admitting to killing his dad. Like Tariq said, all of the shit that unraveled last season was a fail safe in case anyone found out he was a snitch
I think we also find out that Ghost had an affair with Paz...but she never told Ghost that Junior was his until he made the will
I feel like the scene with Tariq pointing a gun at Diana is probably before the scene where they’re in what is most likely a doctors office and she’ll probably tell him she’s pregnant which will prevent him from shooting her and might be the reason he spares her and the reason why him and the tejadas call a truce and when Tariq tells her that his father tried to keep out of the game that makes feel like they’re talking about how they’re gonna raise their child Diana probably wants to keep their away from the life and lie about who they really are and Tariq is probably like “my dad tried that with me and it didn’t work “
