She tried to be nice about it, but it was clear she didn’t feel the same.” What I think he is saying is that he didn’t actually tell her and he just assumed she could tell and was just being nice to not hurt his feelings. He could’ve misinterpreted that and that’s what lead to his decision about not meeting her. Also when they were meeting there are multiple theories on why but one that’s not impossible but not very likely is to discuss their feelings. I don’t personally believe that’s why they were meeting but it’s not too unrealistic. I just hope we get them together because they belong together and need each other. Hoping season 2 reveals more about Brooklyn staying with Darius and that she just needed time to get over her recent breakup with kenji as she needed a friend, not another boyfriend. She might come around and face the realization she does in fact have the same feelings for Darius and they get together.
