Tariq's videos are starting to have this insane energy to them, these jokes and edits keep knocking me off my damn chair. Never even heard of Slacker Cat but I can just watch this dude talk about anything at this point and have a great time.
I love it, I fuck with this energy.
I also just love the points he brings up, love hearing about camera staging, the storyboarding, designs, anytime someone brings up behind the scenes stuff always catches and hold my attention.

I love the part when you were talking about what makes a clone or not. I was really being hyped for that part. So many people in the cartoon community will write ANYTHING as a clone. One show called Too Loud was called a Loud House Clone simply because the show had loud in it and had characters with white hair.

i fucking love this show lol one of the jokes that always stayed in my head was in the last episode where theyre at a library trying to find out how to turn the internet off and theres a tiny detail where eddie is reading a book about geology, and later on in the episode they see a giant boulder and he laughs and says "a metamorphic rock on a sedimentary ridge? no way youre gonna find that on this side of the continental divide!" and it turns out thats where the trapdoor to the government lab is at. the writing is so good in this show lol

Actually that stop motion pilot reminds me more of The PJs, which was also produced by Will Vinton. Well that and Robbie The Reindeer. Also, Family Guy can be "cinematic" with its backgrounds and animation at times; surprise that they haven't made a movie yet. No, Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story doesn't count.
Now there's an idea, the PJs. I mean if he ain't gonna do boondocks, static shock, bebes kids and the like then give us something remotely close

Yeah, i have a friend who uses either the "Clone" or "inferior" titles when it comes to stuff. Example, I like both Pokemon and Digimon, and he tells me that he was never a fan of Digimon, cuz he only saw it as an "Inferior Pokemon" (which spoiler alert, he has never watched Digimon because of that) so i go and explain to him that the ONLY similarities the two shows have, is that its full of these different creatures that have new ones show up every new generation of the series. And anyone who does like both can easily tell you that that statement is true. But, because it doesnt interest him, he just brushes it off and most likely by now (i told him this yesterday) he has forgotten all about it

So many youtubers that cover cartoons will often do so with a relentless negativity and show such a complete lack of understanding for how HARD animation is when they make sweeping general statements about stuff. You actually shout out the animators and artists and talk about nuances in style. It's really refreshing to see and I've been really enjoying watching all of your videos.

I remember Slacker Cats. Watched the first 6 episodes then it went off... Literally going to a library computer to find out season 2,(S1 split) was only on their damn Website ! TO this day I still haven't seen em all.... Sill waiting for that dvd to drop !
